A couple of days ago I had posted that I am able to unlock the Silver 3 league in the Splinterland's. Today I noticed that I am also in the leaderboards of the Silver league, currently having the ranking of 48, that is under 50. This ranking is little surprising as Silver leaderboard comprises of its all 3 tiers i.e Silver 1 i.e highest tier in Silver ranking, followed by Silver 2 and Silver 3. So just by making upto Silver 3 and landed into the Silver leaderboard look little surprising to me.
But putting more thought into this, I devised an alternate theory. Since Splinterland's league for leaderboard is allocated on the basis of the highest league tier that you have achieved in the last season, not on the basis of where you ended the season. My theory is that most of the strong Silver player might have touched the Gold league in last season and now playing in the Gold leaderboard, even though they might ended on Silver leagues after season end.
I guess, this is a little unfair in some scenarios, because some good victories do push you or help you to surpass your league but survive consistently in that league is a another question and in that leagues you need cards and skill both and one time "luck" and "RNG" gods that have placed you there do not help much. I am not sure how these players get matched, with the similarly rated players or with the same leaderboard players. if they are getting matched in accordance to ranking then it is still good for them but if they get matched with the pool of players on there league then it look advancing the league can act as punishment for you.
Anyways, that was my theory but if true, then questions arise if I am able to sustain myself in the leaderboards? It is still 8 days away for leaderboard conclusion and lot of player will going to intensify there efforts befor the season end , so definitely I am bound to slip down on both the ranking and maybe rating points too. I am reaching the Silver league now for last many seasons but not able to sustain myself there.
But I have hope for this season as I have ended last season at 980 points, just 20 points short of ending the season in Silver league. Also I have added cards before last season end that is definitely showing positive results till now and I have plan to add futher more cards this season too so it migh boost my performance more. Maybe thinking of ending the season on leaderboards is a little optimistic, but based on past performance and addition of more cards , I guess my expectation to end this season in Silver league is realistic one.
Let's see how this season ends for me when I am currently having high hopes.

The rankings are rough, and I agree that its based on the previous season ending. Who knows, but I wish you have some good luck there. I prefer to just get a few advancement rewards and be done with it.
