Let's discuss Leodex on LEO Power up day (LPUD May 2025)

Yesterday, I posted about my Hive Power milestone of 32K HP and if you have read through the post then it will be clear to you that how aggressively I am chasing my Hive Power goals. Even I am not diverting my Hive fund now to Splinterland's game, even I love to play that game so much. With my attention on Hive Power and Splinterland's , I am following LEO but not doing the deep dive into their ecosystem. Another reason is that currently LEO team focus is shifted to the LEODEX, their cross-chain defi platform. So let's see what it has to offer.

Current Leodex overview.

Leodex is a decentralized exchange that can operate on various networks like Arbitium,Avalance, Base , berachain etc, using the Maya protocol. For comparison, it is similar in concept that Thorchain uses and provides the end user the feasibility of doing swap through a single interface on multiple Networks. So if you have a coin A in chain 1 and Coin B in chain 2 and want to buy coin C in Chain 3 by selling Coin A and Coin B, then you can perform this transaction from multi chain interface like "LEODEX" provided it supports Cahin 1, Chain 2 and Chain 3.

Opportunity of earning referrals.

LEODEX claims to be the cheapest CrossChain interfaces in terms of fees. We charge a 0.45% fee on each swap and if you refer someone than you can get as high as 33% of this fees charged as referral commission (or overall .15% of the transaction volume)

Coming to LPUD (Leo Power Up Day

This is one of the reasons for me to write the post today. Since it Leo Power up Day, I am going to power up the 150 LEO today.

Now if you wonder that why I mentioned LEODEX in this post? Because LEODEX earning will be used to buyback LEO and bring the positive price impact on LEO. As of today , when I write this post, LEO price is 0.0638 HIVE (using https://tribaldex.com/swap?from=LEO&to=SWAP.HIVE) and assuming Hive price at .27 USD , it come as .0172 USD (less than 2 cents) which is indeed higher than .014 USD that I tracked on my last month LPUD post.

My 2 cents.

I will be honest here that though I hold good amount of LEO directly and indirectly through LBI but still have not tested LEODEX platform. Currently, my commitment to Hive is also not giving me time to explore outside. My previous Defi ventures outside the Hive ecosystem did not proved fruitfull at all. So as of now, I will like to go on easy way. that keep increasing the LEO stake every month, and if LEODEX platform revenue kicks and allow team to buy LEO that can drive the LEO price up, then it will be still my win even though I am not using that platform.
