Wednesday walk - enjoying shades of green and in search for flowers

I didn't miss Wednesday this week - but alas, the high traffic jam in the office didn't give me time to edit the photos, so I'm posting my blog with a three-day lag :)

So, this is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay

I suggest you, my friends, take a walk through the streets of St.Petersburg, bask in the May sun and watch how Spring comes into full power ... already came! everything around is turning green right before our eyes - even the asphalt :))))

All the world is green..... Look at this 'green grass'. 👽 I couldn't get past this scene, keeping my composure and not smiling very widely. Perhaps, in winter people were so tired of monotonous lack of colors that could not wait until nature will bring in the natural green - and took this deal into their own hands ... that is, they delivered artificial imitation greenery to the lawns. But the color used here is very radical, not natural at all, especially in comparison with green grass that started to appear as well. And you know what? I still keep smiling every time I look at this photo! @elizacheng, I invite you to smile with me.

The usual facade, no special plot or action happens here... Why did I take this picture? I guess I was attracted by a delicate colorful contrast... I see beauty here, but I find it difficult to explain what it is exactly.

These huge pompous granite structures actually are flower pots, and while they are empty, the plants not only do not bloom, but they have not yet grown.

Here I came across an unusual building - yes, St. Petersburg is a city of contrasts, here you can still meet a wooden building of the 19th century. The courtyard of the children's hospital... the fence gate was locked and it was impossible to get closer (I did not dare to climb over the fence for the sake of photography), instead I could use the telezoom.

I was insanely attracted to this bright green asphalt. Charming spring picture...

And this picture is missing a cat... or a pedestrian who would give it more drive and 'action'feelings ... but a cat of course would be better. If you wait long enough, surely some cat would wander into the frame. But I did not stop for such a long pause, I took a picture of what I had here and went on :)

Most of the soil is still bare and brown, thick green carpet has not yet covered it - but the plants are already begun their work.

No blooming yet - at least not at the regular lawns. But flower beds already have flowers in bloom - just this time I didn't get them on the way.

After processing and adding this photo to my blog, suddenly I remembered that 'POBphotocontest' current round topic was 'TREES' - a nice coincidence, thats exactly what my photo is about: a lot of trees, almost nothing but the trees. For a while I hesitated which photo to choose: this or the previous one, I like both equally!.. 🙃 and after ten minutes of painful choice, I decided to choose the first one.

And now the last one, to give you a good walk aftertaste. xD

May kitty! loosened up and drowsy under the spring sun. Isnt she charming?
