Three Tune Tuesday #170 .:. cities around the world
I don't have the opportunity to travel in real life (alas) - so I really appreciate the option to travel virtually. A while ago, I started considering to make a thematic #ttt issue - namely, to show three music videos dedicated to different cities. And this is exactly what you see below; following today's post you will walk around three beautiful cities of the world: St.Petersburg, New York, and Barcelona. Worth your attention!
Никто — Белые Ночи
"Nikto" is a modern Russian band that, um, doesnt have neither a back catalogue nor releases. Whether the guys have musical talent and their own style or unique "message" is questionable, but in any case their songs intentionally (and successfully) imitate the great Russian underground rock band of 80-es 'KINO' - and this is exactly what attracts fans. However, most of all I liked not the song, but the video itself. The lyrics are simple: "We are going for a walk around the city to celebrate summer". The stylish black and white video is walks along the streets and courtyards of the city, iconic places of interest, and dancing on the roofs of residential buildings. 100% hit, the quintessence of the visual side of the city I live. Hope you enjoy it.
"Никто" это современная российская группа, которая, хм, не имеет ни бэк-каталога, ни релизов. Имеют ли парни музыкальный талант и есть ли у них свой стиль или некоторый уникальный "мессидж" - остается под вопросом, но во всяком случае их песни намеренно (и удачно) имитируют великую российскую рок-группу 'KИHO' - чем скорее всего и привлекают поклонников. Однако мне больше всего понравился не песня, а сам клип. Тема песни проста: "мы идем гулять по городу и праздновать лето". Стильное черно-белое видео - это прогулки по улицам и дворам города, знаковым местам интереса, а также танцы на крышах жилых домов. Стопроцентное попадание, квинтэссенция визуальной стороны города в котором я живу!
Cat Power — Manhatten
There was a moment back in 2000-es when I was pretty much obsessed with Chan Marshall, American singer who stands behind the project 'CAT POWER'. She has a magic velvet voice and outlook (worth mentioning she worked as a model before developing the musical career). No way I cant say this is my fave song from her back catalog, but definitely one of the fave videos. It was a great option for me to explore Manhatten with Chan, to look at it with her eyes.
Nouvelle Vague feat. Liset Alea — Algo Familiar
Liset is one of many girls standing behind the 'Nouvelle Vague' project, and this song will accompany your walk across another great city,— Barcelona!!!

Nice walking around videos! The third was my favorite of the day, but I like Liset Alea's music. And Barcelona is a great place to walk around. I like it much better than Manhattan! Don't remember Chan at all but she's pretty that's for sure. Great picks for your TTT, life always!

Haha, !LOLZ I cant say anything, never been nor at 1st neither at second place. .. would love to! each city has its special vibe... tho Barcelona has a more regularly-design of the streets, right? thats not what I am fond of. ☘️ But I'm definitely sure that !PIZZA, red wine and street music in Barcelona are much better than at Manhatten 😍

Great to travel these cities although in a music video. I think the BCN one appeals to me most as I was obsessed to move to Barcelona when I was younger! The song is important but I do love to watch creative videos too.

I quite enjoyed the first video too, it was cool to see some more parts of St. Pete! The one from new York was also cool to see some sights. It reminded me of the Holy Ghost video but there they had a twist where their dads played them:

the best part of St.Pete video for me was the animation, the way they 'animated' the city - and the figures dancing on the roofs ofc. creative and simply amazing (well, maybe they stole this idea somewhere, but I did not see this anywhere before. hope they did not!) !LUV

Я думаю что про "никто" никто не слышал, у них плохо с раскруткой. сам случайно узнал. даже и не ютюб подсунул видос - гораздо хитрее получилось: смотрел канал леши вишни (интересный тип), он бонусом подсунул этот клип.
