Today I was in the mood for monochrome, and processed some architectural photos I took in the Petrogradsky district of the city. This is an area of expensive real estate... beautiful stylish residential buildings of luxurious breed and appearance... many of which appeared during the Art Nouveau epoch.

A very beautiful house - I took a few shots to look at the details. The locked grate did not allow me to come closer, and my camera was equipped with a wide-angle lens that day. Therefore - only such photos.

The building is bigger on the inside than on the outside - through the bars you can see that it has an interesting courtyard that is worth exploring. It would probably surprise me and please me with its visuals. What a pity that I was left with an enticing mystery in my hands.

If only you could have seen me taking this photo! I was standing on the fence of the bars, holding my camera over the top of the bars, trying to get my wide-angle 16-35mm as close to the house as possible, in a ridiculous and awkward position... during this time, two residents opened the gate and came inside - neither offered to let me in to take photos. This is an expensive house, elite real estate, rich people live here - I am sure that they are alien to altruism and the very idea of helping someone in the field of photographic art would seem strange to them. But then, I did not approach any of them with a direct request.
