• Food: They are strictly carnivorous animals, their diet is based on raw meat, organs and bones. Since wild ferrets usually hunt rats, rabbits and birds. But domestic ferrets still require the same diet, but of course, you can provide them with alternatives that you can find in the supermarket, such as duck or turkey liver, chicken feet, quail eggs, hearts, etc. (it has to be poultry meat). Also salmon oil they love and can be given without problems sometimes as a treat, plus it provides good benefits for your body as omega-3 and will help the coat.

Las hembras tienen su celo en primavera y no termina hasta conseguir su pareja y tener sus bebes. Lo que los veterinarios desarrollaron para ayudar a este animal y ayudar a permanecer la especie es que suele colocarse un implante hormonal que ayudará a controlar las hormonas y cortará el celo a la semana, teniendo un control hormonal por 3 años. Ya que un animal se encuentre en celos por mucho tiempo, desarrollará enfermedades hormonales.

• Vida útil: La vida útil de un hurón en cautiverio puede ser de 7 a 10 años. Por supuesto, esto varía por su genética, alimentación, y cuidados veterinarios.

• Alimentación: Son animales estrictamente carnívoros, su dieta se basa en carne cruda, órganos y huesos. Ya que los hurones salvajes suelen cazar ratas, conejos y aves. Pero los domésticos continúan requiriendo la misma dieta, pero claro, puedes proporcionarles alternativas que puedes encontrar en el supermercado, como hígado de pato o pavo, patas de gallinas, huevo de codorniz, corazones, etc. (tiene que ser carne de aves).
