Hello everyone and welcome to this hive naija weekly activities,I welcome you also to my blog.I am quin.lizzy and today I will be writing about the topic "parenting styles in the 80s vs modern world.

Parenthood has a lot of responsibilities that comes from it and not every parent gets it's right while training their children,the more reason for everyone to build his or her self before that time comes,the opportunity is now than ever,with the way we tackle our every day life it's already pointing towards the type of persons or
parent we will become in future.

The comparation between then and the modern world according to me is so big,their is a wide difference with the way parents handle their kids and the way kids respect their parents.

I would like to compare some characteristics like firstly parents to children relationship;
In some aspect like the parents to children relationship in the modern world,I would say is something that parents in the 80s experience rarely cause of the measures the take to discipline their children, children feel so afraid of their parents to share their feelings with them which is really bad cause most atimes parents have the solution or can provide support and comfort.Children in the modern world can easily speak to their parents,in most cases cause their are still kids who find it difficult to experience their s

elves.

Secondly discipline;The parents of 80s takes discipline very extreme,the make sure that when a child is at the wrong the corrects him or her to the best of their abilities,even if it implies punishment and using the rod while the modern world don't employ more of punishment the feel that children have right which the do but as parents it's our sole responsibility to correct our children until the are responsible.Its so sad that now children go ahead to sue their parents and even threaten them about doing such.

Thirdly, tradition,then parents have the way of teaching their children their tradition and culture,the make sure their children knows the do and don't of their tradition.In today world their are so many children who cannot speak or understand their tribe this has eaten so deep that we might wake up some day and lose our cultural heritage.

In conclusion, parents method of training their children then vs now is so different,but finding a way to balance the both will go a long way in this modern world,or else I would say the modern way of parenting is for the worse.
