Noble Words : Good deeds should be done with intention not for attention !

My parents always teaches me to help other. They say that by doing good deeds, we will be rewarded accordingly. In the busy life style, and fast forwarding life, people do not have time to do good deeds. But our ancient Sanskrit alwsmays insisted on good deeds. It says, that good deeds is always fruitful, which fructify generally during his next birth and bestow upon him all the comforts of Life. The relevant verses is :

यशः पुण्यं कलत्राणि पुत्रोत्पत्तिर्निधिस्तथा |

सुकृतादेव लभ्यन्ते न च पार्थ पराक्रमात ||

Yashah punyam kalatraani putrotpattirnidhistathaa
sukrutaadeva labhyante na cha paarth parakramaat sons

Yash = fame
Kalatra = wedded wife
Punya = A concept of Hindu religion, which implies that if a person does good philenthropic deeds in his lifetime, he accumulates certain plus points called 'punya' or good deeds.
Nidhi = a treasure, riches.
Sukrut = good and philanthropic deeds
Paarth = a person' name
Parakram = streneous efforts.

i.e. Fame, Punya, an obedient and loving wife,children and riches one begets as a result of good and philanthropic deeds done by him in his previous birth and not due to his own efforts.

Performing good deeds is part of Karms, which many believer belive in. The doctrine of 'Karma' is deeply embedded in Hindu Religion. Karma means the act of doing various deeds and sukarma (su = good & karma/kruta = deeds) means good deeds, which are rewarded by God in the next birth or in the present birth also at times, by giving all comforts of life, whereas 'Dushkarm' i.e. wrong deeds result in punishment by way of birth in a very low household or life form destined to struggle and face miseries throughout the life.

In my opinion, one should take part in good deeds not expecting anything in return. Any act of kindness should done with pure heart without any expectation. There are times that, doing good deeds can lead to a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, increasing self-esteem and making individuals feel more content with their lives. Helping others can give individuals a greater sense of purpose and meaning in life, connecting them to something larger than themselves. Hence we shoul do good deeds with good intention and enjoy life.
