In Hinduism, it is believed that by doing good deeds during his lifetime a person earns "Punya", which enable him to be re-born in an illustrious family and enjoy all good things of life. In Bhagwd Gita it is said that -

शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे योगभ्रष्टोभिजायते. (shucheenaam shreemataam gehe yogabhrashtobhi jaayate)

i.e. A man who has deviated from yoga, after reaching the world of virtuous deeds, lives there for many years. Then he is born in the house of wealthy men of pure conduct. The seeker who leaves his body before attaining liberation is called Yogbhrashta. In simple words, those persons who although living a pious life due to some reason are not able to achieve the status of a yogi , during their next birth are born in a rich and illustrious family.

Good deed never get wasted in this life. To add on the value, pur Sanskrit has following words to convey :

विद्या मित्रं प्रवासेषु भार्या मित्रं गृहेषु च|

व्यधिस्तौशधं मित्रं धर्मो मित्रं मृतस्य||

Vidyā mitram pravaseshu, bhāryā mitram gruheshu cha. Vyādhitasyaushadham mitram, dharmo mitram mrtasya cha.

Vidyaa = Knowelwdge, scholarship.
Mitram = friend.
Pravaas = stay abroad.
Bharyaa = wife.
Graheshu = household.
Cha = also.
Vyadhi = illness.
Aushadh = medicine.
Dharma = Religion (here it means living a religious and pious life.)
Mrutam = after death.

Knoweledge and scholarship acts like a friend to a person during his stay in a foreign country, his wife as a friend in his household, medicine during his illness and his good deeds during his lifetime after his death.

When we consistently do good deeds, we build trust and positive connections with others, which can lead to support and reciprocal kindness. Performing good deeds can also contribute to our own sense of happiness and fulfillment, boosting our self-esteem and mental health. It good to dongood deeds without any expectation. Keep doing the deeds with dreaming anything and just do it with pure heart.
