Noble Words : Essence of Time & Money management !

My parents always insists on my time management. They wanted it to improve, so that I can make full use of the available time. Time is scarce and every wasted time is not going to benefit me. For students, every second is vital for academic performance, skill development, and future opportunities, while for entrepreneurs, every penny is crucial for business survival, growth, and a sustainable path to success. Citing this universal phenomenon, Sanskrit have following verses :

क्षणशः कणशश्चैव विद्यामर्थं च चिन्तयेत् |

क्षणत्यागे कुतो विद्या कणत्यागे कुतो धनम् ||

Kshanashah kanakashchaiva vidyaamartham cha chintayet.
Kshanatyaage kuto vidyaa kanatyaage kuto dhanam.

Kshanashah = every moment.
Kanashashchaiva = kanashh + cha + iva
Kanashah = grain or a particle (unit of money).
cha = and.
iva = like.
Vidyaamartham = vidyaam + artham.
Vidyaam = learning, knowledge.
Artham = money.
Chintayet = contemplate.
Tyage = leaving, sacrificing.
Kuto = where,
Dhanam = wealth.

i.e. A student and a seeker of money (businessman / entrepruner) should take care that not even a single moment is wasted while studying and similarly not even a single penny is wasted while accumulating wealth. By wasting time neither will one acquire knowledge nor will it be possible to accumulate wealth by giving up small amounts of money.

Time is an investment in developing essential skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, which are crucial for their future careers and personal lives. Each second spent studying, attending classes, or completing assignments directly contributes to their understanding of subjects and helps them achieve academic goals.

Entrepreneurs often start with limited capital, so every penny must be spent strategically on essentials like inventory, marketing, and operations. Careful financial management is critical for a startup's survival, ensuring that expenses are controlled and revenue is sufficient to cover costs and reinvest in the business.

Be it time or money, each of them should be utilised properly to make them counted in life.
