Noble Words : Desire for Gold, Land and Flowers !
I have seen people always crave for more cloth and gifts and different accessories. Our Sanskrit has quoted a specific kind of people who are more interested into Gold, Land and Flower. It is hard to notice these traits in people, but if we look deeply, it might comes out true. Our ancient language says :
सुवर्ण पुष्पां पृथ्वीम् चिन्वन्ति पुरुशास्त्रय:
सूरश्च कृतविद्यश्च यश्च जानाति सेवितुम्.
Suvarna pushpaam prithweem chinwanti purushaashtrayah,
Soorashch krutavidyashch yashch jaanaati sevitum.
i.e. Three types of people, namely warriors, learned persons and connoisseurs of high style of living, crave for Gold, flowers and landed property.
Suvarna = gold.
Pushpaam = flowers.
Prithveem = the Earth (here it means landed property) .
Chinwanti = crave for.
Purushaastrayah = purusha (Men) + trayah (of three types) = three types of people.
Soora = a warrior.
Krutasvidyaa = a learned person.
Yashch = who.
Jaanati = knows.
Sevitum = using, enjoying
Yashch jaanati swvitum = a connoisseur, one who enjoys high style of living.
The desire for gold, land, and flowers can be attributed to a desire for prosperity, security, and beauty. While there's no single entity that embodies these desires, they are commonly associated with figures of wealth, power, and spiritual well-being. For example, Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, is often depicted with a lotus flower, representing both spiritual enlightenment and material abundance.
Here is the more detailed Outlook on the three desirable things :
- Flowers :
Flowers in general can symbolize beauty, love, and joy, while gold and land represent wealth and security.
- Gold:
Gold is often associated with wealth, status, and a safe haven in times of economic uncertainty. Its perceived value and relatively easy transferability make it a popular investment tool.
- Land :
Land ownership is often seen as a symbol of stability and long-term wealth building. It can provide income through rental properties or agricultural production, as well as appreciation in value over time.
The desire for gold, land, and flowers represents a desire for a life of abundance, both materially and spiritually.
