Noble Words : Contribute towards social responsibility !

We all have certain duties and responsibility towards our society. It is all about making decisions and taking actions that consider the impact on the broader community, not just on oneself or one's organization. However many people especially the learned person in the society unable to fulfill their responsibility. This can include ethical behavior, environmental sustainability, and contributing to the well-being of others. As such, our ancient Sanskrit have following verses :

अपि शास्त्रेषु कुशला लोकाचार विवर्जिता |
सर्वे ते हास्यतां यान्ति यथा ते मूर्ख पण्डिताः ||

Api shaastreshu kushalaa lokaachaar vivarjitaa.
Sarve tey haasyaataam yaanti yathaa tey moorkha panditaah

Api = even if.
Shaastreshu = various scriptures and treatises of various disciplines of learning.
Kushalaa = experts, well versed .
Lokaachaar = general social customs prevalent in the society.
Vivarjitaa = deprived of or not having.
Sarve = everyone.
Tey = they
Haasyaataam = laughing stock, a victim of ridicule.
Yaanti = become.
Yathaa = as if.
Moorkhapandita = a learned fool.

i.e. Those persons who are not well versed in proper social behaviour, even if they are expert in the scriptures and various disciplines of learning, are ridiculed by everyone and treated as learned fools.

This Sanskrit lines are made for such peoole, who have indepth knowledge about various scriptures and other fields but they unable to fulfill the demand of the social responsibility. Our society always looks or expect more from the learned groups to do more towards the society. But even after gaining various knowledge and learning they stand in the fool category by not contributing towards the social responsibility.

Learning is Passion!!
