Are you ready to leave pleasurable life for the sake of "salvation"? - Sanskrit Thought

I have seen so many people even in our family, that at certain point of life, they stats seeking "salvation". They are ready to leave everything or surrender themselves to God to get rid of all danger and pain. Usually they do that at the ending phase of their life, say probably above 40 + of age.

There is a nice way to seek salvation mention in our ancient books. Though you may find few of the words quite lengthy and difficult in pronouncing,I will try to break it down to help you out.

मुक्तिमिच्छसि चेत्तात विषयान्विषवत्त्यजेत|

क्षमार्जवदयाशौचं सत्यं पीयूषवत्पिव||

Muktimicchasi chettaata vishayaanvishavattyajet.
Kshamaarjava-dayaa-shaucham satyam peeyushvatpiva.

Muktimicchasi = Muktim + icchasi
Muktim = release from rebirth,salvation. Icchasi = desires.
Chettaata = Chet + taata.
Chet = if.
Taata = a word for expessing affection to a person.
Vishayaanvishavattyajet = Vishayaan + vishvat + tyajet.
Vishayaan = objects which give sensual pleasure.
Vishvat = like a poison.
Tyajet = should give up.
Kshamaa = forgiveness.
Arjava = sincerity,honesty.
Vidyaa = knowledge.
Shaucham = cleanliness,honesty.
Satyam = truthful.
Peeyushavat = Peeyusha + vat.
Peeyusha = nectar of Gods .
Vat = like,a suffix to a word implying likeness or resemblance
Piva = drink.

"O friend ! If you want salvation during your lifetime,then you should give up all the objects of sensual pleasures and adopt the lifestyle promoting forgiveness, sincerity, honesty, knowledge, cleanliness and truthfulness, as if you are drinking the nectar of Gods."

This is a great learning for everyone as, throughout the lifetime people run after enjoying the life and fulfill all their wishes but at the end to seek salavation or to enjoy real happiness, they have to surrender and enjoy life in the feet of God.
