WHAT IS BAD IS A BAD...
Lying is something that comes easily and naturally to me. I know this is not a good habit, and saying it here doesn’t mean I’m proud of it, i just had to say it because the first STEP to solving a problem is by acknowledging the fact that you definitely have a problem, before any other possible solution can come afterwards. Growing up, lies were something my parents hated to the core, and they still hate them up until now. I can’t count the number of times my siblings and i have been punished in the past whenever we are caught lying. My mum didn’t only punish us with canes, she made sure there’s always a fast for every lies told, that way we’d know the gravity of our sins and make sure to never repeat them again. As time went on, the lies we told reduced and it got to a point where my siblings became very bad at lying, and whenever they try it they end up getting bursted, they’d end up stammering while at it, and that particular act gets them bursted always…
These were my siblings though, I on the other hand was something else. Due to my nature as a kid, lying was the only thing I thought could save me from trouble, and back then it felt like the only easy way out, not knowing it was the hardest way out. I know my lies might end up being bursted after a while, but the fact that i will be safe at that very moment is a feeling i don’t take for granted, after escaping that moment, i would now start preparing myself for the punishment that might come afterwards, and that’s if by chance my lies end up getting bursted. I have always been very troublesome as a kid, and counting all the number of offenses i have committed as a child would be as impossible as you asking me to count the amount of water that makes up an ocean, that is to say, it’s just very impossible…
The more i grow up, the more i find reasons not to keep telling lies, and as i started understanding the principles of life and how bad lies can affect ones reputation badly, i decided to pick up the call of truth telling, even if it’s something that would cost me greatly. It’s better to man up and face the consequences of your actions than being seen and perceived as a saint, If one day kasala burst ehn, the result would be unimaginable. Telling the truth is hard, but then it pays more than telling lies….
LIE OF OMISSION…
Honestly, when it comes to lies of omission, I can’t really say I have had much encounter with it, and that’s because I believe the saying “all lie na lie”, be it lies of omission or ordinary lies, everything is still lies. Let’s call a spade a spade. It’s high-time we stopped painting a bad habit with an innocent color…
If there's one thing i have come to understand about lies in the last couple of decades, it's the fact that not telling the full truth is also a part of lie. The human mind is quite vast and complex, which means it is capable of painting different pictures of things, it all depends on how far you want it to go. Now imagine in a situation where an occurrence like a Burglar incident is being narrated to the POLICE and you as the witness is being called upon to narrate what you witnessed, just as you were narrating the story, you decide to leave out some important clues that could be helpful to the investigation, just because you think it's irrelevant to the case or out of fear. In that situation, such act can cause a lot of damage to the people involved, which is why you are meant to reveal everything the way it played out and how you witnessed it...
To me, lies of omission is as dangerous as outright lies, i would even say it is even more dangerous than outright lies, and that's because it is deeply involved with the human mind, and the human mind is capable of painting different pictures, both positively and negatively. The reason why i think it is more worse than outright lies is because you don't know the relevance or how important that which you have omitted is to the case or event that is being discussed...
In summary, i would say telling straight lies is even better than lies of omission, at least with straight lies you are concealing the whole truth while with partial truth you are misleading the whole truth, which is very similar to telling complete lies...
In conclusion, both outright lies and lies of omission are equally bad and are considered punishable. It is better to tell the whole truth than to leave anything out. At the end of the day, what is bad is bad, it doesn't have two names to it...

Great experience shared 👌 Truth is always harder, but its impact is lasting and positive. Do you think lying by omission and telling a direct lie are equally wrong, or is there a difference between them? 🤔
They are both wrong, and there’s no more difference, the reason is what i have just shared in the post…
Thanks for stopping by man
