THE BEAUTY OF LANGUAGE…
Language is indeed a crucial component that makes life interesting, easier and worth living. Language is powerful, depending on how it’s utilized, it can either break a community or make a community. This is something i came to realize many years ago after studying and analyzing my country as a practical example. According to statistical data and evidence, there are over 500 spoken languages in my country (Nigeria), and with the massive population rate we have over here, we have a good number of bilingual citizens over here. One person can speak at least two indigenous languages, and just so you know it, this is one of the few things i love about the people of my country. They don’t take language for granted, as long as they are willing, they will definitely develop the hearing and speaking of any language. It’s just a matter of time…

Have you ever wondered how void and meaningless life would be without the presence of the term “language”? If only we know how important and relevant this tool is to mankind, we won’t want to take it for granted in any way. The fact that I can’t speak more than two languages is something that pains me each time I remember, especially when I’m around the people from my mother’s side. Whenever they converse in their native language, my siblings and i always look lost and confused. And that’s because we don’t know how to converse in that particular language, since our mum never taught us from childhood…
The number of times my siblings and I have been insulted because of our inability to speak our mother’s language is countless. The annoying part of this whole situation is that people think we are at fault for not being able to speak and understand it, which is very wrong. If they want to hold anyone responsible for our inability to speak and understand their language, they should hold our parents for not doing what was necessary at the right time…
I grew up in a Yoruba speaking community, which makes Yoruba the very first language I learnt before I started walking. It was a mixture of Yoruba and English, and thanks to education, I learnt how to write and converse in English. Growing up, I realized English language was the common language for everyone in the country, as it is a language we must all learn within the four walls of the classroom. This is another reason why as a parent you have to give a sound education to your children. The reason is because of a day like this, imagine not being able to speak and understand any language at all, do you think life will be easier and worth living for such a person? No. This is one of the importance of language…

Moving on, life has been more easier or should i say maybe difficult to an extent since AI came into existence. I don’t know if other see it this way but personally, I think AI has kind of make life difficult to navigate than normal, the AI we see today is a camouflage machine. we have been brainwashed to think it’s 100 percent a helping tool, when it’s indeed a tool created to make us lazy and incapable. If care isn’t taken, there will be no job opportunity for anyone in the near future. Maybe when that happens, we will now see clearly what artificial intelligence indeed is to mankind…
The fact that AI is very good at translating many languages shouldn’t stop us from learning it as an individual. AI being there to help doesn’t kill the beauty of it in any way. In regards to language, I think AI has indeed come in handy. Now we can communicate freely anywhere in the world without having to deal with language barrier. Translator is an application that has helped us solve that problem easily, but then not completely, especially with our inter-country languages…
Software and technology helping us communicate freely and better is a trend that has indeed come in handy, and personally I don’t think this has indeed in any way watered down the beauty of languages. These applications were created to help us during emergencies and with time, one can take a course on learning any language of their choice…

In conclusion, language is important. How it is being learned doesn’t necessarily matter. What matters is being able to read, write, speak and understand perfectly. If you can achieve this in your own way, then you’ve retained the beauty of languages…
THANKS FOR READING…
I agree with you that AI is better to help us but every language has it's own beauty and there's no meaning without language in the world 🌎
