The social media of nowadays is now a weapon controlled by those in politics to guide and direct the thoughts, actions and affairs of the public to do their bidding. This is to tell you how many people out there have been misled, misinformed and misguided in believing what is not true because of the information and falsified facts coming out from all these social media platforms and medias…
One with power has the ability to do and undo, provided there is adequate funds. There is a saying that goes like this; everyone definitely has a price. I didn’t know how factual this statement was in the past, but now i have come to understand how true it is because i have now experienced it firsthand and that too a couple of times…
The best means to manipulate the masses now is through the use of social media platforms, everyone believes what they see and what they hear, it would have been a different story if all these came from a third party, but the fact that they are seeing it on different social media platforms and even hearing it on various news channels, they will definitely believe it, without knowing if what they see and hear is hundred percent accurate…
We only see what they want us to see and also hear what they want us to hear. This is the power of politics, they have the power to control and manipulate informations and it’s means to the latter, provided there is something good coming out of it for them…
When we talk about the influence of social media in the politics of my country, i think social media is actually an helping tool in politics, and that is because these social media platforms keeps us updated on daily basis, be it to convey facts or falsified truths across the nation, the fact is that it is an helping factor in politics…
Social media is also a money raising tool in politics. Imagine the number of people who spend their time online scrolling and going over articles of of different political contents, this not only surges the number of followers these people get, they also generate revenue which later end up going into their pockets one way or the other…
Thanks to these strategy of social media, politicians have been able to build and convey that which they want to the public, we have twitter, facebook, instagram and other platforms where they can share their with the world that which they would love for us to hear. Thanks to social media influence, these politicians don’t have to go door-to-door passing information, with just a snap of their fingers, they have the whole world seeing what they want to be seen…
In as much as we have different falsified news and information out there to mislead people, there are also some interesting stories out there that shares more light on what has been hidden from us to manipulate us, therefore helping us in choosing wisely who to be put in the position of power…
Honestly, I think this strategy has really helped them a great deal, especially in the political sector. They have been able to beautifully sell their lies and truths to the masses, just as we have some who believes it, we also have some people who doesn’t even look twice in their direction…
In conclusion, I don’t think i have anything to change about this exiting problem. Me and politics are two parallel lines that can never touch each other, i will rather turn my phone off than to see all these tweets. One thing i know for a certain is that; Every day is for the thief but one day will be for the owner. Karma is a b*h…
