HOW AN OVERHYPED MOVIE TURNED OUT DIFFERENTLY 😊…

The challenges and difficulties of life would sometimes make a man wish for something abnormal and extraordinary. This is not something new as it has happened to me several times in the past, I mostly think about extraordinary circumstances whenever I’m going through a lot or passing through a tough time, the truth is that this thought sometimes keeps me balanced and right back on track…

I can’t count the number of times I have thought of having super powers, not to talk more of having multiple powers in order to do supernatural things, this happens mostly when or after i watch any movie that deals with supernatural abilities and powers. I think we all have been in that situation countless times and it’s quite normal…

One of the things my friends dislike most about me is the fact that whenever they suggest or recommend a movie to me, not just once but many times, especially an over hyped movie, I automatically write that recommendation off, and that is because i hate to meet disappointment where i am supposed to have fun and great experience…

I don’t like seeing movies recommended and hyped by many people, and that is because their hyping and non-stop reviews make me yearn for perfection from the movie and if I eventually decide to see it based on those reviews and recommendations and at the end of the day I don’t enjoy what i am watching, i get dissatisfied and disappointed automatically…

This is one of the reasons why i don’t like watching over hyped movies, especially movies with super powers, I prefer stumbling upon it by myself while searching for a good movie than to go hunt it down based on the hyping and countless recommendations from others…

This has happened to me countless times in the past, the movie other people find interesting and entertaining might be very boring and annoying to me and that is because my choice of movies are very different from that of others, i will only recommend a movie to you if I know your favorite genre, I don’t just go around recommending anyhow movies to people, especially one that leads to disappointment and regrets, this is me when i am on and on about a particular movie…

This almost happened again many weeks ago, long before I started hearing the reviews of SUPACELL from friends and colleagues, i had already stumbled upon it on Netflix and added it to my list to watch later, and that was because i was in the middle of a korean series that time, i had to save it for later…

This particular korean drama lasted longer than I expected but I had to stop halfway, not too long after I had stopped, i started hearing of supercell here and there, especially in the neoxian city, my friends were just on and on about the movie, especially abenad 😂…

The truth is that i was actually planning to watch it that week, but after seeing it being over hyped by many people out there, i decided to write it off totally because i didn’t want to be disappointed when I start watching it out of those hypes, there were so many spoilers…

I decided to give up on the movie even when I desperately wanted to watch it, my discipline couldn’t allow me watch it, and moreover my friends couldn’t just stop posting scenes from it on their WhatsApp status, this got me more interested and also quite confused, i had no choice than to push myself to watch it…

In summary, I kept my pride aside and decided to watch it, the first episode got me hooked big time, i was loving what i was watching and how everything was playing out, before i knew it, i went to @sabrinah and was happily gisting her about it since she was part of those that hyped it, she and abenad…

It got to a point and I started wishing it had more episodes, the movie was too interesting to be 6 episodes, I watched from episode 1-5 and till today I haven’t seen the last episode because i am not ready to part ways with it, the truth is that I might not even conclude it…

In conclusion, i think it’s high time I loose my guard up a little bit on watching over hyped movies, not every one of them ends up disappointing and depressing, i believe there are many other good movies out there to watch based on these hypes and recommendations and i will try to do better moving forward…
