DUAL FEELING: UNHAPPY 😞 & UNMOTIVATED 🤕…

Phew 😮‍💨. I am finally posting again after a whole 48 hours break. I almost decided not to write today again for many reasons, one of the reasons being the lack of motivation to write and another being the bad day i had yesterday (still today based on hive timezone). I am feeling so unmotivated and unhappy right now, and because of this unhappiness, i haven’t been able to gather my thoughts together. I just want to quickly forget the fact that i lost something extremely very important to me yesterday…

The last time i felt this way was about two years ago when i was stopped and extorted by the Nigerian police for a crazy reason. I remember telling @burlarj about this particular event sometime in the past. I have been so down since i got back from a personal errand yesterday afternoon. If only i knew and understood that the bad dream i had yesterday night was a sign that my day won’t go as planned, i honestly won’t have left home to go out yesterday at all. I would have saved myself not just the transportation fare but also the stress and difficulty of having to trek from one place to another. This is even the least of my regrets. I would have used that opportunity to get my laundry done, cleaned the whole house and then stream some nice Chinese dramas, all at the comfort of my home…

But then, i just had to pray my way out of the bad dream. Since i have been the faithful and believing type all my life, i believe in the power of prayer. I prayed after the bad dream, did my usual Psalms reading and just handed it over to God, not knowing i was preparing to have the baddest and craziest day ever…

HOW IT ALL STARTED…

It all started with a dispense error; a situation where by you use your atm card to withdraw from a POS stall and upon withdrawing any amount, your account gets debited, while on the merchant’s POS it says failed or declined. This was how i started my day yesterday morning, at around 11:18 am to be precise…

I went out yesterday to run a personal errand, i got to my destination and was about to pay for the service that would be rendered to me. I thought i would be able to make an online transfer, unfortunately for me bank transfer was unavailable at that very moment, so it was either cash or ATM card withdrawal. I decided to use my OPAY card since i was with it, i always go around with my wallet that has all my atm cards…

I was asked to pay the sum of 11,500 naira, which i gave the receptionist my card to make the withdrawal. He initiated the whole withdrawal process and asked me to insert my pin. I did just that and the response the POS machine got was “failed transcaction”. How come? I had just transferred the sum of 12,000 naira to my OPay account, so there’s something wrong somewhere. I also had the correct pin entered. I couldn’t do much on my phone because i was on low battery and to charge right there would be a hassle…

I asked the receptionist to try it again, he did and for the 2nd time again a failed transaction. What’s going on? it was at this point i got a notification from my Opay account security about the confirmation of such amount of funds. I saw that briefly but couldn’t do much, so i decided to try it again for the third time. I did so and it was a failed transaction again, I didn’t even know i had already been debited upon the first trial, but because I didn’t approve the withdrawal of such large amount via my Opay account security on the Opay app, the money was deducted but the merchant’s POS wasn’t credited. I had to log in my complaint immediately to get that sorted ASAP…

I found out it is going to take 3-5 working days to get sorted. Now my funds is hanging on the fence. I couldn’t get my work done, and also my trip back to school this weekend has been delayed cox of it. Thinking that’s the end of the bad day…

Not too long after that happened, I found out i had lost one of my most priced item; my oraimo freepods 4 charging case. I have the pods but the charging case is gone. Only an oraimo user would understand how much a freepods 4 cost at the moment…

Can a day get badder than this???
