Anniversary Sale Madness at Puregold Clark and the Storm
The man looking in my camera sandwich in between the boxes is the friendly helpful guard. All the guards are helpful they are directing the queue to the check out
Yesterday was the last day of the four day anniversary sale at Puregold Clark dutyfree shop in Pampanga and it was wild from start to finish. I went there with my husband and our friends and it was our second straight day going because it was a great bargain it was just too good to miss or maybe I just miss shopping in real life vs online. The first day took us 4 hours to queue in line no joke, people everywhere carts full to the brim and there are no baskets nor carts left. There are boxes of goods everywhere but everyone still calm no chaos just tired faces and hungry shoppers. I even saw one teen girl sitting comfortably on a wooden palette and had dozed off.
People love these fleece blankets on my cart I had a few to give as gifts this Christmas. The box with the name Lix is liquid detergent people buy in boxes
We had our little tactic because standing that long in line is no joke and I almost gave up and wanted to leave everything and go back home. One of us was lucky enough to search the parking area and found a cart then he stayed in line guarding the cart while the rest of us go around shopping and dumping our finds into the cart. Then we take turns having lunch so someone always left behind to hold the line. It actually worked out well, even though the line barely moved for hours. But with all the “Buy 1 Take 1” and 50% off deals, nobody wanted to leave. People were buying in boxes really like detergents, snacks, chocolate, coffee, home goods and everything. It’s like everyone had the same mission to stock up for months but I think some of them will resell.
I bought some of these dried berries and some salty snacks
Then yesterday which was the last day of the sale we went back again I can not let this sale pass. There is rain and all because there’s a storm but shoppers didn’t care. We were planning to go before lunch but it was late in the afternoon when we finally got out waited for the rain to stop. It was pouring hard outside when we reached Puregold dutyfree shop it was even louder, carts clanking, people grabbing but not that Black Friday madness I see online, Still full of energy even on the last day. This time we just picked up the things we missed from the first trip and bought again the ones we loved. I found a few really good items to give as Christmas gifts, they don’t look cheap at all but price wise I made a lot of savings so definitely worth the trip back. I will be able to give twice as much this year Yay.
Even with the long lines, tired feet, and headache hahaha it was still fun something about the shared chaos and excitement that makes you forget the time. The rain, the crowd, the noise it all felt like part of the experience somehow. It was dark when we finished our shopping and the storm is already exiting the country.
Despite the gloomy skies I saw faces beaming with happiness and the spirit of togetherness is there. The weather tested everyone’s patience and hope the air was cold, the light rain made the road slippery, and parking was a real challenge. Yet, in true Filipino fashion, people showed up with smiles, umbrellas, and good humor. The rain didn’t dampen any mood; it became part of the story really. It is one of perseverance and positivity which I actually had experience myself. Even with long queues and the chill of the storm, everyone remained excited, laughing at small inconveniences and helping one another along the way like a lady picking an item that fell from someone's basket and putting it back in. This resilience and the ability to laugh even in discomfort and the mid of a storm, is what makes us uniquely Filipino — turning a rainy, difficult day into a happy memorable one.
Keep discovering. Satisfy your curiosity and never get tired learning new things
What a fun and lively shopping experience! Even the storm couldn’t stop the excitement.
