Meanwhile ... Back at the OBC Corral
Starting with some good news, this was published yesterday on Easter Sunday. A day celebrating the reason for peace of mind for today and hope for tomorrow, for many.

In spite of all the recent concerns expressed about the future for Bitcoin, for those placing their faith "In BTC we trust!" this was encouraging news, right?
Number go up? And stay up?
As this community was one of the first ones catching my eye, I will take this opportunity to provide a little bit of an update.

Update: A Work-in-Progress
While I do not always have the time to write a post, I do make an effort to keep an eye on what is happening, as I have always appreciated the potential for this particular community.

"Problem or Opportunity? MVP and Joining the One BTC Club"
So, here is a quick overview of my UX with the One Bitcoin Club to date.
Outstanding Issues
In priority order, from my perspective:
- Over a month later, I still have not received my Sats for these transactions:
- As I have reported, with a lot of associated details, my lead image fails to appear. In trying different work-arounds myself, I have succeeded in 1 out of 4 attempts.
I used to hear a little bit on this from @breakaway-dev. More recently, I see test posts from @breakdev1. Same person, different accounts? Two different devs? One is replacing the other? 🤷♂️
As reported, whatever the source of the problem, it affects both PeakD's, as well as OBC's, UI. - New: HTML for code, < code > < /code >, does not work in the OBC UI. This is true only for the OBC UI. In PeakD's UI, it appears just fine, as red characters on a white background.

@starkerz alerted @brianoflondon to this, with no response. I have attempted 3 different times, in 3 different ways, to communicate directly with @brianoflondon, with no response. Why? 🤷♂️
I do not have any idea what exercises @brianoflondon goes through to balance his books. Left as is, either 1) @starkerz should get his HBD returned to his @btc4content wallet, or 2) I should get Sats sent to my V4Vapp wallet.
Open Questions
While there are others, I'll limit this to one, to keep it simple:

Source: My original post titled
"Update: One Bitcoin Club a Work-in-Progress. Right?"
Asked here and here, then in more detail here, there has been no response.
On this topic, it is nice to see some progress has been made on the UI:

That said, I could find no reference to anything written about it, which would have been nice to receive. It must also be a work-in-progress, as my posts should be listed in this tier, as I have 100,000 Sats
in my Xverse wallet.
They are not.
Patience not being one of my strong points, I originally titled this section "Not Ready for Prime Time," as a little tongue-in-cheek way to express my disappointment these issues are outstanding. I'll ask a simple question, of the accounts to which this portion of my post has been addressed:
"If our roles were reversed, what would your reaction be?"
Being a reasonable person, I believe, even a little bit of communication would go a long way to changing my perception.

A.O.B. (Any Other Business)
As a test, I made one purchase of Bitcoin converting 5 HBD to Sats of BTC via transacting with the @v4vapp account wallet. I wanted to know what the fees would be:

Source: QT's quick Excel calc
Seems high, from what I have experienced outside the Hive blockchain.
That said what I do not know:
- Whether the fee is fixed, i.e. converting larger amounts of HBD would reduce the % lost to fees.
- What @v4vapp uses for the price of Bitcoin. In my case, I used CMC.
- How closely @v4vapp's fees track with what we can all see on mempool:

Source: BTC fees on mempool.space, as this is written
Right now would not be a great time to transfer any Bitcoin. I have seen these values down to 1 all the way across. As with any blockchain, the transaction volume varies and the fees along with it.
Any input from others on reducing the % of the fee is welcome. If part of the answer is helping pay for the cost of this conversion option even being available, having that clarified or confirmed is equally welcome.

Finishing with where I started, here is a quick chart of the data table provided by Watcher.Guru on X.

I wanted to see if any curve fitting option might work to show a trend. And based on that, see what it might show for an estimate of what the price of BTC might be on Easter Sunday, 2026.
After fiddling with it for awhile, I think I'll just leave those projections and forecasts to the analysts among us who seem to spend many of their waking hours trying to figure out the same thing.
Looking into your crystal ball, what do you think the price of BTC will be on Easter Sunday, 2026.
Best wishes, until we meet again,
QT

On Easter 2026 I hope to see 200k USD for one BTC.
The price will surely stay above 120k USD.
I have a question regarding the Mempool. What would be the best condition to transfer BTC?
We'll find out how well your hopes hold up, @rogerlabanane. I'd be happy with seeing the price get past $120K and staying there. Not so long ago, a lot of others were quite certain the price had climbed about $100K and would never go back below it.
We all know how that has turned out.
First, let me say I do not pretend to be an expert on mempool or this area. Or any area, for that matter. All I can say, in response, is I have seen the transaction fees with a 1 sat/vB all the way across and that I try to wait until then, when time for any transaction is not that important. Vigilance and patience being the keys.
Thank you
I guess 126000$ for BTC on Easter 2026
That would be a nice tick up from here, wouldn't it? With all the news about various private and public entities creating "Strategic Wealth Funds" with Bitcoin, what is your view of what is holding the price down?
I am not a prophet, and just posting speculations is not worth it.
No idea why I haven't seen this. It's too long ago for me to figure out what happened but I'll send you sats as soon as I'm at my computer in an hour.

Fixed, really sorry it took me so long to see this, very unusual.
I sent 4HBD worth of sats to you.
The power of a symbol comes to mind, @brianoflondon, upon opening my account here on Hive and seeing this response:
Actions speak louder than words is an old saying. Nonetheless, as true today as ever, in my view. The principle behind what you have elected to do, in backing these words with this transaction, is not lost on me. And it speaks very well for who you are and your integrity.
My response:

Thank you for your example of integrity. In more ways than I can adequately express right now, it is encouraging to me. I hope here on this blockchain, for those who may find it now or in the future, it may also serve you well, in the eyes of others.
At least I can upvote your comment with a pretty sizeable amount :-) and you can't turn that down.
Hive is a special place because everything we do is recorded and public: my reputation here on Hive is like the share price of a public company: it's linked to a large amount of possible future earnings. Those are tied up in me keeping my pristine reputation for honesty.
As much money as I could make by dishonestly taking $2 or $3 or even $100, that's peanuts next to what I consider my reputation to be worth in the future. This is a very specific and valuable side to Hive which is poorly understood outside this ecosystem.
I haven't had to fix many problems really and I do aim to fix things quicker than this. I think your original problem happened when I just wasn't in a position to fix and I wasn't scanning all the systems.
Seeing through the eyes of others, @brianoflondon, is something I had at least an idea of when deciding to actively participate on this blockchain. It was one thing to read about it and quite another to experience it firsthand. Thank you for giving me your perspective:
Your view of it is new information. And very interesting to think about what that might mean for my ongoing work-in-progress determination of what my why is going to be. Specifically, why I would continue to invest my time in actively participating in this virtual world.
At a glance through your posting history, I will follow your account now and hope to read more about how your hopes for your future in here works out.
P.S. Not personally being a fan of the whole idea behind them, I loved your pronouns! Hahaha ... 😉
Hi, sorry for any inconvenience or trouble this might have caused you, I am testing with breakdev1 because both have different btc addresses and balances, there was something I am trying to achieve testing withth the other account also its important for me to test the tiers with accounts that has different balances.
As far as I can see, your lead image shows for this particular post, and some other post, I noticed it doesn't show for some post where you have a particular lead image
Like you said, it's a work in progress, as for the feeds, you will be able to select the feed you want your post to appear as long as you fit into the tier
