[Holozing] Heavy - The Trial Of Youth

Zingtober 2025 — We’re Back with a buck! Excited to announce the return of Zingtober, our annual art challenge inspired by Inktober!

New creature reveal is still in the works, but the event kicks off with fresh energy and a more relaxed format this year.

We were back with a buck, as the first challenge has "deer", and I decided to follow the same route like last year... and make a story!

Maybe you don't know but last years Holozing Inktober challenge went above and beyond and ended up writing a novel based on the prompts.

I used the best drawings as images in the book! Check Echoes Of Tomorrow if you're into paperbacks or kindle reading!

Let's move to 2025, when this deerling had to leave this family and explore a new part of the mystical woods. It'a bit like Bambi but more fantasy!

The male holodeers will part their group and venture into a new part of the woods, where they will discover their afinity with an element.

Holozyn, our baby deer, was ready for the journey! He will be guided by ancestral forces into an unexplored meadow, which will become his new home!

The journey starts with mix feelings, sadness for leaving his family... and mystery for the road that lies ahead!

Holozyn had to get ready, as the camp he will set has to follow some rules. It has to be located near a stream of water, it has to be spacious ... and it has to have a totem!

This totem will be built by the young holodeer with materials gifted by his family, and carrying this heavy load is part of the journey!

His pack filled two huge bags of gems, colourful pebbles, twigs, seeds and more... which Holozyn had to carry until he will find the right place.

He has helped to get the heavy bags on his back, and the straps where tight around his body! He was ready! There where to roads ahead... he had to decide!

This year’s Zingtober features 3 completion tiers based on 10 selected prompts from the official Inktober list. Complete four, seven or all 10 prompts to get a $HIVE slice!

A total of 600 HIVE is up for grabs for the top three artists! All valid participants will also receive curation support through upvotes and the chance to claim long-term Zing rewards via soulbound NFT achievements.

Claiming a Zingtober achievement grants ongoing Zing collection rewards, distributed over time to NFT holders!

How to Participate? Add [Zingtober] to your post title. All entries must be related to Holozing. Use one colour scheme per entry.

Post in the Holozing community and include the #zingtober hashtag. Include the prompt name in your title. Submit within 72 hours of the prompt’s date.
