BasisOS Yield Autopilot has officially levelled up with Version 2, and the backtests are speaking loud and clear! The vaults performance just got a major upgrade. Yield Autopilot v2 introduces a trio of big improvements that push automated DeFi allocation to a new tier
First up, there's a new ML-tuned Baseline Greedy Strategy acting as the benchmark. It’s a deterministic algorithm that makes aggressive, forward-only moves with no backtracking or chain-of-thought. This sets a tough bar and provides a clear contrast to YieldAI’s more nuanced, iterative approach.
Next, the simulation suite got a serious expansion. Vaults and risk caps have been doubled, allowing for more realistic, high-fidelity stress testing across volatile scenarios. The Autopilot is no longer flying blind — it's navigating chaos with precision.
Finally, Autopilot v2 is now powered by the o4-mini model, bringing lower latency and smarter, faster decisions. This is proactive alpha-seeking, even under turbulent DeFi conditions.
Why the upgrade? Because v1, while decent, only outperformed trivial baselines. It relied on a pattern-matching engine that worked well in low-noise environments. As vaults multiplied and the ecosystem grew more chaotic!
It started slipping, missing liquidity shifts, bungling exits, and failing to keep up. Autopilot v2 fixes all that with a true reasoning core. It sees deeper, reacts faster, and plans smarter. In other words: it’s no longer just a tool — it’s an edge.
During a recent data review, the Basis team uncovered a few bugs that caused some weird, unexpected point changes. Basically, the system got overwhelmed. Tweet volume spiked big and over 8,000 tweets slipped through the cracks and didn’t get processed properly.
When they dropped the v2, they caught up by including all those missed tweets! But in practice it led to a major rebalance in the rewards system… and that caused some of you to see your points suddenly drop. Big time.
Nobody likes surprise point losses, especially when you’ve been grinding. My earned $BIOS dropped by 50%, from 103k tokens to only 50k $BIOS! With v3 they went back and recalculated everything using your Yapper Score from the actual day each tweet was posted.
That fixes the v2 mistake, where the system accidentally used current scores instead and which messed with historical accuracy. This also cleaned house and removed about 200 replies that had been incorrectly counted as tweets in v2.
People put in real work, and those tweets deserved recognition. Points were awarded based on when they happened, and every bit of earned value will be honoured. The BasisOS v3 is the most accurate version yet... and it’s only going to get better from here!
