Hive Open Mic Week 188 - What's Up? (Melody Guitar Cover) by Putra Daffa
art-work by @cabelindsay
Greetings to the Hive Open Mic community. My name is Putra Daffa, and I am here to participate again in the weekly music event #OpenMic week 188 with the theme "Fly and Dream". From this theme, I cover the melodic guitar with the song "What's Up?" by 4 Non Blonde. This song was written by Linda Perry who is the vocalist of this music group. The song was released in March 1993 and has become a huge hit, reaching number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.
I love this song because the lyrics are so reflective and philosophical. It is one of the most iconic alternative rock songs from the 1990s. To this day, it remains popular and continues to inspire and motivate people around the world. For me, this song gives a message of optimism and hope. It invites listeners to keep looking for answers in life's journey and not give in to despair. Because everyone has the power to make a positive change in the world.
Just like "Fly and Dream", which is the message of optimism and hope contained in this song. Today, this increasingly complex and uncertain world has become a chaotic and unfair place. However, everyone has the power to make positive changes in the world. We must pursue our dreams, even if the world is full of challenges. Keep flying high in pursuit of your dreams. Thank you and best wishes.
