Moon Collection #2

Greetings to all photography enthusiasts. On this occasion, I want to share the second part of the photographs I have collected of the moon, focusing on those moments when the day ends and the night begins to take over the landscape.

Although I do not usually go out late at night, I always make it a point to observe the sky right at dusk. I find it interesting to capture that specific window of time where the night is just starting. It is during this transition that the colors of the sunset blend with the imposing sight of the moon, creating a lighting contrast that is very different from what you see during the day or in total darkness. This is when I take the opportunity to get the best shots, as the sky still holds enough light to define the surroundings.

In my city, it is quite frequent to observe spectacles like these, and I have learned to stay alert for them. The atmosphere here often allows for a very clear view of the moon even before the sun has completely disappeared. In these photographs, you can see how the celestial object begins to stand out against a background that still retains some of the warm tones from the late afternoon. I prefer this balance because it allows the camera to pick up more detail in the clouds and the horizon, rather than just a bright white circle in a pitch-black sky.

For me, these images are about documenting a daily occurrence that we often take for granted. Taking the time to wait for the moon to appear in that specific light is a quiet and rewarding process. It doesn't require complex equipment, just being in the right place at the right time and paying attention to how the colors shift. I hope these photographs reflect the calm of those early evening moments and the natural beauty that is visible from my city.

Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts. Until next time.
