You'd Wonder If Bad Roads Have Advantages
Have you ever stayed in community, local government or city with very bad road at particular places ?. These kind of bad roads have been bad for 3,4, 7 years and you begin to wonder if there are any advantages for having bad roads.....
Now, imagine living in such a place where the roads make you go dizzy at some points because the pot holes and other road damages makes the vehicle unbalance while moving. The kind of road that makes you think and contemplate before going out even if it's important. There is a popular saying "this road can abort a woman's pregnancy". It might sound unreal but it is very possible because of the shock effect a car get when it enters a pot hole and these potholes do not respect the shock absorbers in normal cars and SUV's ---except trucks and bigger vehicles.
Before I gain admission into the university, the road to my church was totally bad and when rain falls, it is worst. The road was manageable for a year and the complain very little but it didn't take long before it affected other parts of the road causing about a 100 feet length of the road to unbearable for both humans and vehicles. The situation didn't mean so much to the government, so it lasted for about 8 months. During this period of months, many people gave up using their cars because of the back to back repair, lesser cars were available for public transportation and the ones available doubled the fee to suffice for the back to back repair on their vehicles. My dad also didn't use his car whenever we are going to church.
The government provides a temporary solution mostimes when they give ear to the people's complain. The cheapest and fastest solution is pouring of sand and big rock kinda stones on the road. These silly solution affects the tyres of vehicles, causing them to swell or tear; this result to car owner changing tyre every month. And other temporary solution which I see as unwise is construction of roads without drainage or good drainage system (popularly called "gutter"). Movement of water or gathering of water on a spot on the surface of the road for a long time causes the road to become weak, then, it gradually break and sink the weak spots on the road; this is what result to pot holes on roads.
The road around my school area is very bad at the moment. For instance, within a 10 minutes drive, you can't enjoy or 2 minutes before entering a pot hole or an entirely disconnected untiled road. The road causes fatigue to the body and sometimes dizzeness because of the way the drivers are forced to drive while enterinh large pot holes and avoiding smaller ones. The road was repaired a year ago but is bad again because a temporary solution was provided back then; the pot holes were patched.
There are just too many bad roads in the country and it makes me wonder if there is any advantage of bad road. The government are just not ready to construct roads that would cost them hundreds of millions and last for decades. This issue of bad roads makes transportation for both humans and goods difficult, also it increases the fee for transportation and causes severe damages to vehicles.

I'm telling you man
It's hard for you to even enjoy traveling or going out.
And it's making transportation more expensive like you said....SMH🤦
You'd think again and again before you go out.
Asin bruuuh
It's well sha
We hope for a positive change soon
Lol the title and beginning of this post had me laughing and wondering at the same time 😂
Maybe there's an advantage we're not aware of. Expensive transportation fee and even damage of goods is something else with these bad roads.
Lol... I remember very well how I would think so much about the bad road and why there was no repair. My conclusion then was maybe there's an advantage😅.
Thank oh for engaging my post.
