It's a clear fact that gambling isn't doing them a favor, but they are too obsessed and can't see the truth about the path they are treading on.

This is where I seem not to understand, it's not working but you keep trying and giving yourself hope because someone you know or heard of got luck. Luck is can't be depended upon, at all.

I think I understand how it feels to want to get lucky, but this thing is not reliable, it will take more from you.
