BASED ON THEIR EXPERINECES AND OUT OF GENUINE LOVE

There was surely a time that we asked or were curious as to why our parents were so big on we doing anything they tell us to do.

Why and what makes our parent think they are right (always right) ?

Why do they feel they could just tell us whatever they want and expect us to do exactly whatever they have told us ?

Every good parent always have the interest of their children at heart, always wanting the best for their children. They may or may not mind how they make it possible but, they surely see to it that their children have the best guidiances to life generally: which cuts across religion, education, morals, culture, ethinicity, etc.

Most parents base their counsel, guidance and interest for us (children) more on their expereinces and genuine love.

On the other hand, many African parent are yet to let go off the belief that every single word they say to their child(ren) must be obeyed. They give commands and we obey, as if we are in the military camp.

Several times it annoys us the children because our parents make some decisions for us from their experiences: they do not even try to see it from another perspective aside the one from their experinces.

One Of The Times They Were Right🔸️______________________________________________🔸️

My parent are preachers of not worrying too much about what you can't get at the moment, especially things that do not last or material things. Of course, they know material things are important and should be possessed by everyone but they have always encouraged my siblings and I to never worry too much about them. My mom usually say "you will still have them and you would laugh at yourself for worrying about them".

As a young guy in this era, I do not have to tell you the list of things that I am already wishing to have at my age because it is so glaring what this generation have turned material things to. Several times my parents words about not worrying too much has helped me this far and will still help me.

There was a time my parent would never believe that money could be made online and this was because of the rise of fraudulent activities in Nigeria at that time. Even police wouldn't believe that you made money legitimately online. This issue became a bit more than it was meant to be when the news was spreading on radio stations. I particularly dislike listening to radio because of the amount of exaggerated news the speakers pass on to the listeners, which my mother is one of the listeners.

The fear of her child joining fraudsters became stronger because she listened to some radio programs. She would not let me rest each time I spend hours on my phone. Though she has never told me that I am one of them because she trust me but keep nagging about staying on my phone for hours and I should study the Bible instead: which was obvious that she wanted to discourage me from even trying to do anything fraud.

At that time a guy staying with us got a small laptop for his logo design class - wrong timing right?😂. This even increased the chance that the whole house is into fraud😂😂.

I am glad that she later learnt that money could be made legitimately online since I began to show and tell her some of those things whenever I am on my phone.
