Awareness On Recycling ♻️ Is Needed.
Recycling in this part of the world is not yet seen as very important as it might be in other countries where it is practiced daily. Recycling is not really a thing here, though there are agencies and organizations that are fully or partly involved but there are not many in terms of numbers or large enough in terms of capacity and influence to affect the whole nation.
The first time I knew about recycling was from a very old movie series. It was a scene outside the high school compound where some students were walking towards the gate, one of them had a drink with him, was done with the drink and threw it into a thing that looked like a big watse bin. There were 3 of those with labels saying "paper" "plastic" "nylon" om each one. I just knew they collevt waste separately in that school. I learnt a little about recycling in secondary school but from text books and I didn't understand because there was nothing to relate with: my first time of seeing the recycle sign ♻️ was inside the Longman dictionary my sister had then.
It's so common here to thrash every waste together in the same place since they are all regarded as watse. It is just ignorance and the fact that government is not doing so much to make the knowledge of recycling and its impact general. You see countless waste sites with all sorts of materials, plastic, glass, nylons, papers, tins, metals all together.
My school has few places that support recycling in some sense, a very big bo made with tiny strong iron rods, painted green and 3 openings to throw paper, nnylon and plastic separately. There is something about recycling written on it but I have never read it. That's not all a bout recycling but better than nothing.
Recycling of waste will reduce the massive amount of waste that gets buried in the soil or get burnt on refuse sites or incinerators, it will even reduce carbon in the air and lesser air pollution. Recycling of waste can be a major source of income, means of employment for hundreds of people: ranging from those who gather specific kind of waste materials to those who buy in bulk, to those who sell to big collectors and then to the recycling companies themselves that transform the waste into reusable items like plastics to make new and better plastic items, cans to make new ones, metals scraps to make stronger iron materials, etc. There is a need to create solid awareness on the aspect of recycling, the earth needs it, there will be less harm to seas and lakes and streams that get filled with waste because some seem them fit for a place to dump watse. Some dump into gutter which might end up causing a blockage somewhere. Proper disposal of refuse is important, every human should know and adhere to it.
I bet that a lot of money will keep flowing from recycling because as long as humans remain on this planet, there will always be wastes, plenty of them. So, a company focused on such will neither run out of raw materials nor lack where to get it from, it is everywhere. We use these materials everyday, especially nylons and plastics.
