A popular statement I don't agree with… wow okay…… this is a very interesting topic but first of all I want to welcome my wonderful family to this amazing week another week with different chance and opportunity fill with love

Honestly this week will be interesting because I already find interest in our weekly prompt and I can't wait to read what my fellow writers have to say, like what their popular statement they don't agree with.

Talking of our this week prompted a popular statement I don't agree with. The popular say I don't agree with is “EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS"

Aha I personally don't agree with that popular statement and I know not just me a lot of people don't agree with that. Don't forget me wrong am not saying education is not good or education is bad nooooo ….. am a student myself so yeah education is very good but not the key to success

Education is not a key to success is something most young people have to know and come to reality with,I have seen graduates refusing to do other things to earn a living in the name of am a degree holder I will keep looking for a good job

In such case this person has the mentality that education is the key to success, so now that they are educated the only way to succeed must be from there certificate,

I have heard prostitutes and arm robbers say that they chose that way of survival because they could not find a job after graduation like how is that even possible………. What is wrong with your hand

And in some cases you see graduates who are doing petty jobs after finishing school because they could not find a better job. This are the ones that they thought that education key to success but is important so yeah after getting educated you still have to survive in a legal way that your key to success

Honest, loyalty, dedication, focus,persistence, plan, ambition,hardwork and many more to it,you can mention more……this quality's are the key to success

Education is there to boost our confidence, help us along the line in everything we want to achieve that is why it is important.it also creates room for opportunities but don't fully relax because you are going to school so you will be successful.

No, you have to learn how to find other opportunities. I'm sure the graduates here will be able to shed more light on this.go to school it is important but make use of your hands too.

This is accurate, especially we the Nigerians, education without exposure or skills is partial not complete. The bitter truth is that having a skills and a touch of education is now better than having full education without a skill. Imagine how many first class are roaming about looking for jobs, just because they diverted their minds from skills and productivity

Even if you are educated, you don't just fold your hands and be waiting to succeed...even without a job through your certificate
People should start changing such mindset
Education will help you to think critically, be smarter and intelligent in handling certain things...an educated person doing a person will have the privilege of applying different knowledge to help him succeed faster and not totally believe that once we are educated, we must succeed

Education is very important and necessary in other to impart alot of things to you but choosing to remain adamant especially in Nigeria because your a graduate with a degree or master's and since there is no government jobs available you fold your arms and sit doing nothing, learning no skills at all, that mindset needs to change.
In other to succeed in this kind of environment skills matters alot

Education is the key to success has been misinterpreted by lots of people to mean that it is when you finish from school, you will be guaranteed a job to lead you to success but that’s not what it really means. Education is a gateway to help you achieve things even without your certificate. With being educated, you have higher chance to grow in any field of career than someone who isn’t educated.

Sometimes I get tired with this whole story when ever I come across it. Education is not longer key to success in my country anymore, be a business tycoon and watch yourself successful... Only a business man can buy a house in Maitama currently so how is education key to success?🤦

The worse part is the rich people do buy their certificates now while we go to school and still not achieve anything with the certificate

Education might have been been the key then, but I think that key is lost and the padlock had long been changed. It's a wrong perception. I like that you categorically stayed the importance of education too, not downplaying it. However, it's not the total way to success.

Being educated does not just end in school and Being successful does not just lie on going to school,
It is always advisable to also acquire skills, cause it has helped in building one's financial status in most cases...
Not all wealthy people went to school,
That's why is always necessary to have order things doing aside going to school

Yes school is an important thing for we to go for and work on it with our hands so that at the end we will benefit from it when God favours us as well. So serious this is another means for we to be well educated and in all our hustle we understand that the sense of education is in our blood to tell us not to fool ourselves in an illiteracy way. I often times talk about this "knowledge is not acquired only in the four corners of the classroom" we have very experienced individuals that are doing very well and they didn't even go to school..

You're right just by being educated alone doesn't guarantee the fact that you will be successful. It is a path way that impact you with the knowledge you need to be successful. There are other attributes like Persistence, hardwork, having the skills etc with having the knowledge through education, combining those things will gaurantee success.

I agree with you, Education is not the key to success, Education is meant to sharp us, our lives and manner of living. There is no success attached to it, well to attain success requires consistency in what you do, patience, perseverance, resilience and descipline. The only success in Education is not failing and coming out with flying colors, the only success in Education is the one people wish you when you have test or exams.
