Weekend. Retreat. Electricity

It’s the weekend, and I have been out of the house since 8:20am. We had a two-day workers’ retreat at the church, which ended today. The purpose of this program is to sensitise us more about working in God’s vineyard next year, 2026, and ensure we are doing our very best.
I’d thought today wouldn’t be long as we should be done in two hours, but it took longer than I’d expected, and yes, it was worth the effort and stay. The whole session was interesting as we all had time to fellowship with each other in a fun way so it wouldn’t look boring and unenjoyable.
As it’s my usual principle, I don’t eat early in the morning until it’s around 12 pm when I would prepare something nice for myself and most times, with that, I could eat once in a day while I drink water for the rest of the day and other times, I might just decide to take snacks (this is why I have biscuits in my fridge).
I returned home at around 2 pm, and I was very hungry. I planned to prepare white rice, fried some stew, diced some cow’s skin meat into bits and egg, then accompanied with fried plantain. Trust me, this would be the only meal I would be eating today, except for the little Garri and groundnut I took earlier to keep the hunger down while everything gets ready.
I have two big-sized plantains and I ought to fry one, but they are already spoiling, and I wouldn’t want to throw them away. So, I decided to fry both and enjoy.
The last time we had electricity was on Sunday morning, which was a few days ago, and since then, they have never brought it. While I was leaving the home this morning, my instinct told me they might bring the light today, so I plugged in my laptop and power bank just in case.
My instinct was right, and yes, it was so. My neighbour told me the light stayed for hours, and it wasn’t long before they took it when I arrived. Thank God I followed my heart when I was thinking whether to plug those gadgets down or not. The only thing I didn’t plug in was my iPhone, but that isn’t a bother since I could just use my solar power or even one of the power banks.
The important thing is that the water has been pumped and I would fill in some water instead of stressing myself fetching from the well downstairs.
That’s all for today and how my weekend is going. A few hours more to the end of the week. Onto the next, and soon, we would be saying goodbye to the year 2025. It’s going to be a long day in church tomorrow because there will be a program after the service. I hope there is menu menu on the list 😄

Workers retreat is a super amazing time to learn and refresh for more impact.
Female instincts are often spot on o. I have come to notice that a lot.
I can't wait to scream Happy New year one more time.
Fortunately, you followed your instincts and plugged the things. I rarely give chance to instinct because I always keep backup plans a d I act according to my plan unless God have a different plan for me.
