Rural vs. Urban?

"City is life. City is life. City is life." Oh yes, I agree.
I have heard lots of people shouting and screaming, even at the top of their lungs, about the beauty and colourful life in the city, and there’s no doubt about that, because I do believe that.
I have lived in both rural and urban areas, and I can confidently say that urban (city) life is cool, with numerous opportunities that one would enjoy more than in a rural area. Of course, I wouldn’t say otherwise about village life because I know that a man’s poison is another man’s food. We all have preferences based on what we want at some point in life.
I spent a part of my life in the village and also served in an urban setting. However, I had to move to the city after my service because there were more opportunities available than in the village.
I have seen and heard many people leaving village life behind for the city in search of greener pastures. Does it mean there is no greener pasture in the village, too? Yes, there are.
But, as I said above, we all have different reasons for where we want to stay. I would tell you that for someone who enjoys a cool, serene environment with no distractions, and who also loves to be in more of the green, with big trees enveloping their eyes, the village is the perfect fit.
Once it’s the December period or anytime I want to travel home, I am always eager because of what I would enjoy. Every morning, I love to take a stroll around the village, even to the nearest town, to enjoy the serenity it brings.
Trees and flowers appreciating the maker of heaven and earth; the grass dancing and swaying in the heavenly atmosphere, and animals of different kinds running around the whole area were always a sight to see.
I would walk around gazing at nature and appreciating the wonders of God. I haven’t seen much like this in the city because every area has been taken up by land and houses, even companies and factories, making noise everywhere.
For such a person as me who loves quiet places and no distractions, I would definitely enjoy a place like this in the village, even though there wouldn’t be much to enjoy, like stable electricity, sightseeing, etc.
Living in the city, especially where I am, is cool, too, but when all my neighbours decide to turn on their generators at the same time. The noise echoes in my ears, and it feels like it's about to burst because everywhere is roaring with the sounds of generators, like we are in a factory with so many machines running at once.
Same thing everywhere because it’s a bustling city where even at night, you wonder if we are still in the day - places like Lagos.
So, with this, choosing whether to go for a rural or an urban area depends on what I want at that point. Moreover, it’s not about me but about doing the will of God and once I have understood this, wherever I am taking to achieve a particular purpose is all good by me as long as I am doing the right thing.
But overall, both areas are good with their advantages and disadvantages. Still, you would agree with me that some have moved from the city to the village and vice versa, all because they have reached a point where they understand what they want to achieve and if one area could meet their needs, why not?

One man food is another man’s poison.
There are opportunities everywhere, even tho it’s more likely to get opportunities in the urban area than in rural communities.
Beautiful piece 🤩.
And like you said, "city is life."
I as a person love the city too, even though I ain't really the outdoor type, but then life in the city can't be compared with that of the village, where you have total silence and little or no opportunities at all.
I love how you kind of balance both though.
Thanks for sharing.
❤️💯❤️
For me, being closer to nature makes me feel more human in some of way. I love the city life, yes. But I don't think I can actually live there permanently. But like you said;
Good thing we all have the right to chose.
The city is good for the bustling and hustling. However, the village is a good place to rest well and eat healthy foods after a long period of work
