Life Wasn’t Meant to Be This Hard… Or Was It?

Imagine a world without illness, violence, hunger, poverty, etc. Everyone is living their lives peacefully, and no one is being selfish, only wanting everything for themselves alone without showing concern for their fellow beings. Honestly, no one would be left sad but everyone would become happy and live a good life.
Of course, this is what God wanted for us from the beginning. He wanted us to enjoy life to the fullest. He wanted us to have a taste of beautiful things and what they have to offer. But God decided to do something in the beginning; just because He created us doesn't mean He shouldn’t give us free will, too.
He made the first man and woman in the garden and gave them everything they needed; water, food, land, seas, animals, etc. Trust me, that was a beautiful thing a loving Father would do for His children, but amidst all of this beauty, He placed a tree which signifies choice. Despite giving some instructions to follow, He intentionally placed the other tree to test man. But what happened? They failed the test.
That was the beginning of a fallen world no one ever wished to live in. Sin crept in and everyone decided to live on their own. And the struggle started.
Despite the struggles, God still cared for humanity but we are only just rebellious to do things our way. Do you know what God said? Do you know how He felt after seeing all of these? He felt sad. He regretted creating us because of the behaviour of man.
The truth is, growth can never happen without struggles (suffering). This world is already imperfect, and we must definitely expect to suffer to become whatever we want, but there is always a way out, which I won’t be talking about here to avoid going spiritual.
As kids, we are raised to deal with life’s situations with different perspectives and methods. From a young age, we’re being taught some morals and skills to navigate life and create something better for ourselves. Take, for instance, a child who wants to be great in life would have to attend school, go to a higher college, pass through tests and examinations, and get a certificate after graduation.
These experiences while in school would teach the child what’s to come after leaving the four corners of the school and finding his feet in the world, rather than becoming a liability. It’s like a child who wants to be a great warrior, he would have to submit to a higher person who would train him to become the best and powerful warrior.
Tell me, do you think such a child won’t face some injuries on the way? Won’t he be bruised with scars to remind him of his experiences which then would turn to lessons for him? It’s like being given a lemon but turning it into lemonade.
What will become of each individual depends on us. It starts first with the mind - to become who you want to be. The scripture says, as a man thinks, so he is. We must pass through trials to become better and those trials teach us amazing lessons that will help us grow and even become stronger in the future.
We can’t expect a perfect world now until later in the future. But the question would be: will I be part of such a perfect world where there wouldn’t be illness, hunger, war, violence etc?

We often wish everything were easy, but in reality, it's the difficulties that make us stronger and give us a new perspective. After reading this article, I agreed that struggles are an essential part of life, and perhaps that's where true growth begins.
Exactly. It's the difficulties that make us stronger...
Thank you for reading.
Struggles make us stronger because that's the world we live in. If you're not strong, you will definitely be left behind, there's no two ways about it. But it's nice knowing it doesn't have to be that way if we were to imagine it. My own is that, they should take me and put me in the perfect world please, I will not complain that I want suffering.
Hahaha. You don't even have to complain you want suffering in a perfect world. Lol 😆
On the other hand, I think we can say that "the struggles make us grow" because that's the world we've known since forever. If we were born into a perfect world, it doesn't mean we won't grow, it only means that our definition of growth would be different from what we currently know as growth.
You rightly said. Thank you. 😊
Thank you, pandex.
I wonder how the world would have been if and only if Adam and Eve had just obeyed? Probably I might not be here sha
Growth is everywhere in everything we can think of.... Is it even from the nails that grows from our nail plate? Everything speaks growth and as long as we yearn for more than growth is gonna occur
Yes, perhaps it would just be a world of perfection if they hadn't disobeyed but with all that happened, it made life more interesting.
Growth occurs every area of life and we must go through the pains in each of them.
Yeahhh very interesting to be rejected and reaccepted by one's maker o 😁
I think we are imperfect and that's why we are chasing perfection. If perfection achieved, there will be no goals for us to move forward. That's the reason we can't expect such a thing to happen.
Someday, there will be a perfect world but no one knows when. This is in the Christianity world, though.
