Dominating Colours in my Closet (LOH #248)

Happy Sunday Ladies! It's another amazing question to talk about for the week's contest and I will be answering below. The question π
> What is the most dominant colour in your wardrobe/closet? Was it a conscious choice, or did it turn out that way over time? Feel free to give us a sneak peek! Contest Post
For me to know the colour that dominates my closet, I had to go through my clothes and sort each colour, writing them down to track the numbers that got the highest counts. I discovered that the colours were white, green, blue, black and red. I wasn't surprised how they all ended that way though, and I discovered I don't have any favourite as all colours are good on me, I think. Moreover, most of my clothes are color combinations than just pure ones.
I am not someone to fill my closet with many clothes as I don't fancy having lots of them. I just go for a few and that's it. My closet isn't bombarded with as many clothes as one of my friends some years back.
She had this habit of buying lots of clothes and wouldn't wear most of them for years. When asked why she does that, the response she gave was kind of funny, but on the other hand, it was a good idea. According to her, she loved saving up clothes till she gets married and yes, she is now, and has been married for over 5 years.
Apart from my church wear, which is always native clothes packed in a big bag and worn for church service, other clothes are just my casual wear that I use when I am going out or at home.

Was it a conscious choice? No, it wasn't, and in fact, it's rare for me to go to the market for a particular colour of cloth unless it's needed for an occasion. When I see a good cloth that I like, the colour doesn't matter. It has been that way for me, and every piece of clothing in my closet always matches with each other.
I used to feel that all colours of clothes looked cool on me, except for red. Since I was a child, I have hated the colour red on me because of a false belief that has been ingrained in my mind. It's so funny how I had associated the colour red with witchcraft, and I used to be afraid to put on anything black and red, especially to sleep at night. I feel those two colours are for evil and hence, shouldn't be worn. It's like I am inviting the witches to come around for a meeting π

It took me years to fall in love with the red colour of cloth, and this was because when I see it on people, it looks so cool and cute on them, especially the ladies., I started shifting my false belief about it and loved red cloth. Well, I only have just two red clothes in my closet, and when the time calls for it, I would buy more red wears, especially gowns. I really love it but I would like to wait to complete my flat tummy exercise first π so I would look fit on them.
So I feel these colours of clothes in my closet only turned out to be that way and not because I like a particular colour of clothes, that's why I have them but I think these ones came out ordinarily for me.

Colors have nothing to do with those things, even though people take them as possessions. I'm glad you changed your mind. Red is a very pretty color, and it goes very well with black. Thanks for writing your thoughts.
Yes, you are right. Colors have nothing to do with them. Red is a very cool color and I like it. Thank you for your comment.
Thank you for giving us a glimpse of your closet :) It's nice that you have a variety of colors in it, and that you're not fond of collecting or buying many, which you would not wear anyway :)

Hehe. I think most of the ladies who buy clothes frequently make their closet a garbageπ . I think you got my point.
I don't hate any color, but I never think red, pink, and yellow are a good choice for me. Maybe it's because those colors don't suit me.

Yea, right. Some ladies would have lots in their closet and still confused of what to wear. I see it as a big problem for me trying to get confused with so many π
Yea, some colors do not suit some people just like you.
Wow π², well it took me years to discover what colour was my favourite.π Thanks to my mum i don't just know how to do my own colour combo. In the end i settled with white and blue. And i love ππ it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts π.
Hahaha yes, I was so bad with color combinations then. It was my friends and siblings that would pick the matching colors for me and when it got to a point, I just had to go for the right ones that aren't confusing π«€
Thank you for your comment.
π€π€π€ you're welcome
I remember that I didnβt like red too growing up because of how people would wear and style it with white it on Valentines and Christmas day like it was a uniform lol. I love like it now though and I wish you success on your flat tummy goal π₯°
I never loved the idea of putting on red on Valentines. I don't even make it an occasion π
Thank you for your wishes.

That's lovely closet you have there. Getting what you really need is very important rather than filling the the place with close that you will not wear for a year. Nice choice. π
Thank you for your comment. I appreciate.
