Spices make food sweet. They are added to enhance the taste of a food. Think of a meal without any spice in it. How does it taste? When spices are added, you will know through the aroma and the colour they give. I love adding spices to my meals, no matter how small, because that is what makes it enjoyable. For example, I can’t do without adding lots of pepper, and if it hasn’t gotten to the point of fanning my lips and struggling to breathe, I wouldn’t feel okay with any meal. Lol

When talking about my personality, the spice that relates to it is chilli peppers. Oh, how I love this spice in my meal, as it brings out the colour of the food.

Chilli peppers are always bold, and they transform any meal, turning it into something eaten and enjoyed with a good experience left behind. They are energetic and spark life into every meal. This matches with one of my personalities, bringing excitement and making everything lively. I might look calm in appearance, but trust me, when I speak or laugh, the whole place is all lit up. Most people are always shocked to see this side of me, and this is because they see me as very gentle and one who doesn’t talk too much, but it’s not like that all the time.

Chilli peppers carry unexpected heat around them. This is like someone who looks gentle and shy but has a strong will to become better. I may be shy around people, especially new faces, but once I am ready to mingle and I am comfortable, you will notice how interested I am to share gists, and my smile shining through everywhere.

Another thing about these peppers is that they come in different types, some mild and some fiery. This reflects a person who can adapt to situations at any time. I can be soft in some situations, and when it calls for me to be strong and exercise my power where needed, I don’t hesitate to put in my best effort. I might look like someone who cannot lift a heavy weight, but you will definitely be shocked to see what I can do if I am truly interested. I tend to be firm and bold when my principles are at stake, and that wouldn’t disturb my friendly nature around others.

Lastly, everyone notices when chilli peppers are added as they add some spark when shared in different foods. I love to be generous and share with people around me because I believe doing such adds vibrancy to social circles, adding the spark to friendship. That’s what life should be all about.

I love chili 🌶️ pepper too, its taste makes food enjoyable, but I don't love my food too spicy, I love it moderately.

Your post reminds me of a Yoruba saying, " a life that doesn't eat pepper 🌶️ is a weak life" hehe.

You want to remind me of my first few months in Lagos and an encounter with a Yoruba kitchen. The pepper was not weakooo. That one nearly ripped off my intestine. I left the jollof rice and left wishing I hadn't been hungry in the first place. Gradually, I am learning to take it jeje.

Haha, I don't think anyone likes pepper as much as my Yoruba pals. You need to watch out for their food if you are not used to eating spicy food.

Another thing, chili pepper really has a nice kick when mix in a meal. It will make you squirm in excitement and happiness. I don't want more of it in my meal though. Just enough to make me enjoy it. And if pepper is a human, they can really bring out the best in you. So if you are like a pepper then some people might experience something when they're with you ✨🕺🌼
