A Weekend in November!

It’s the weekend and also the first day of the eleventh month. What a great ride this year — it’s ending soon. How soon is it? It’s just remaining 60 days. I am super excited to see the end of the year; not for anything but that a new year will show, and then, what? We go again, trying to set new records and meet our goals.
If I may ask us: are we closer to achieving our goals for the year?
I saw a friend’s status yesterday where he felt sad for not attaining the financial freedom he set at the beginning of the year and we only have got two months and nothing has happened.
For many of us, we are quick to think we aren’t doing much better or enough because we didn’t attain the level we’d wanted. But have we stopped to think about people who never even had such a goal in mind? I mean, if you are to sit and reflect on how you’ve survived and even achieved some goals along the line, do you think you shouldn’t be grateful?
There is hope as long as we still breathe. As long as we wake up each day, we are still assured of the light shining bright at the end of the tunnel. What we couldn’t achieve at a set goal doesn't mean the end of life; we only need to keep going until we achieve it.
We only get disappointed when we set a time limit for ourselves. But we forget that only God determines our steps no matter the plans we make.
There are many plans I have had written in my journal this year, and just recently, when I went through them, I laughed at some while cancelling them because I know nothing was done to them. Plans I didn’t record came by and I had to jump at them, especially opportunities I never thought of at the beginning of the year. Thanks to great friends who loved me and wanted the best for me.

I am literally grateful for how things turned out for me till the eleventh month. Though I prayed for most of them, and God came through in ways I didn’t think of. That taught me to never stop trusting in God and letting Him take the wheel while I only sit comfortably behind as He takes me through the journey until I am being led to my promised land. Sincerely, God is indeed great. He is real and there’s nothing one would tell me otherwise.
So, it’s a weekend in November ending in a few hours while we enter a new week. I can’t wait for what will unfold these seven days but I am sure of these things: God sees us. He knows us. He will never leave us. He will hold us up with His victorious right hand. All we need to do is trust Him. Have a great weekend!
