A Sister’s Presence, A Brighter Week

Last week was kind of a rough one for me, but fortunately, my younger sister came to visit me, and she relieved me of some aspects, such as cooking for us, washing dirty clothes, and filling the drum with water. Our light had been out for some weeks, and we couldn’t pump water, so everyone was fetching water from the well downstairs, still within our compound. However, all thanks to my sister, who made it less stressful for me.

I was actually the one drawing from the well while she would carry them to fill in the room. Luckily for us last night, the light was restored and we couldn’t be happier and grateful that it was fixed and the water was pumped, allowing us to fill in the drum and buckets with water early this morning before leaving for church.

Sometimes I wish the day could have more than 24 hours so I could have enough time to do other activities each day. I really don’t know if we are in the shorter days longer night season because once the day dawns, and by the time we close and open our eyes, the night is here, and it feels like everything is just happening so quickly.

Have you guys noticed that when you have a lot to catch up with, that is when the time will be running fast like Usain Bolt, but when you have nothing to do, the time seems to be slow? This happens to me a lot of times and it’s kind of funny experiencing that.

My sister and I, with a lady from the church, went for a retreat on Friday. It was about a Christian ladies retreat where the theme was: A wise woman whose anchor scripture was from Proverbs 14 vs 1, and the focus was on the Proverbs 31 woman. I love this particular passage of the Bible so much because it is loaded with the responsibilities of a wise woman. The Holy Scripture says that a wise woman builds her home while a foolish woman tears it down.

I really have been enjoying some opportunities coming my way this season because it’s preparation for my marriage, and I am glad for the privilege to attend those programs.

The program was an overnight one in which we returned home yesterday evening, and I had to rush to do some things I had left pending. The next day was for church and we went to worship God. I love to be in the presence of God because in there is the fullness of Joy.

It’s good to have a younger sibling around. Do you know why? We closed very early today in church, but had to wait for a meeting. But then, I instructed my sister to go home to prepare a meal because I wouldn’t know how long the meeting would last, and for me not to be hungry and tired, it was best to let her go home to make the meal. I got back home around 3:30 pm, and by this time, I couldn’t even carry myself while walking home as I was extremely tired, but food was already waiting for me. Lol

I ate and took an hour’s rest, after which we got prepared for the house fellowship at a member’s house, and it was fun. Okay, pen’s down. This is just a snippet of my day and how I am looking forward to a less tiring week.

That's so great of Your sister, she did well, unlike some of them that would come home and be stressing you out instead
