Self-growth matters a lot

Everyone has the mindset of growing in every aspect of their lives and I am not excluded from those people. Life is all about growing in whatever we are doing, no matter how small the growth might be. It doesn't have to be a huge one at a go but every piece of growth will someday amount to something huge.

The journey so far from December 2022 to this day hasn't been a smooth one at all but then I have a vision and mission so I couldn't quit despite the rough journey. To me, I couldn't quit because I believe that every hardship I face is the price I have to pay for the better place I was aiming for in life.
Life is never a bed of roses and since I know that, I always work extra hard because I believe that if I don't help myself nobody will help me.

This year 2023 makes it 3 years that I have been running my salon, even though it wasn't easy in the first two years but I am grateful to God for where I was coming from and where I am today.

Last 2 years when I started the shop, all I did in the shop was sleep and I wasn't proud of it but then, I couldn't control the situation. But last year, things started turning around for good because I didn't give up. Instead of giving up, I looked for how to grow the salon by saving up more money to buy hairdresser materials and I am grateful that my plans worked out, the materials attracted some people to come make hair from me.

Aside from that, I made sure to push my business online as well by posting some of my work and some other hairstyles along with different wig styles I came across. And that brought some customers as well. One thing about growth is that you must never give up because Rome wasn't built in a day.

Let's now talk about some other growth, I personally don't like dressing too much but then something happened in my shop that changed my mind based on dressing. So that day, I just decided to wear clothes very simple as usual and I was very busy in the shop, one of my friends came around to check on me and she dressed so well because she sells cloth.

A customer came in and faced my friend. She started talking to her about the hair she wanted to make and at first, my friend didn't understand what was going on but after the lady finished talking, we both asked her what she wanted then she asked, "Are you not the boss here?" I answered her, "I am the boss" and then she looked at me from head to toe then she replied, "Are you sure you know that hair I was talking about?".

I smiled and then gave her a chair to sit on, when I was almost done with her hair she said, "Wow, I love the hair. You didn't look like the boss here,". She thought I was an apprentice, while my friend was the boss because of my dress, ever since that day I started dressing well to work because I realized that ladies like a fashionable person to handle their hair because they believe that if you are looking good you know the right thing.

Ever since I worked on the way I dress to work some young girls in the area also became my customers, I realized that the growth I wanted for my business has to do with my personal life as well.

The year so far has been amazing ever since I changed all that aspect and developed myself.
