Fresh & flavorful; homemade vegan salad adventure
Hello everyone, welcome to the Plantpoweronhive (Vegan) community, and it's my first time posting here.
I will be making a vegan salad for the inleo prompt, so let's get to work and see how I made the yummy and delicious homemade vegan salad with just a few recipes.
Recipes
Cabbage (1ball)
Cucumber (1 piece)
Carrots (2 pieces)
Groundnut oil (40 ml)
Sweet corn (1 small pack)
Onion (1 small ball)
Salt (pinch)
Lemon (1 small ball)
Tomatoes (3 pieces)
Red bell pepper (1 piece)
Process
I didn't use too many ingredients because it was my first time trying vegan salad at home, so I made a small quantity to see what it would taste like, so let's get into the kitchen and see the outcome of these little ingredients.
I rinsed the cabbage in a clean bowl and then sliced it into pieces with a knife.
I rinse the customer inside the same bowl as well, then slice it into pieces beside the cabbage.
I rinsed the carrots as well, then made use of a grater to grate the carrots because I wanted them to be soft and crunchy.
I peel the onion back, rinse it, and then slice it inside the same tray.
I rinsed the tomatoes and the red bell pepper, then sliced them inside the same tray.
Lastly, I rinsed the sweet corn and poured it inside the same tray.
I poured the groundnut oil into a clean bowl.
Then make use of a knife to cut the lemon into two, then place the grater on the bowl and squeeze the lemon on it.
The reason why I squeezed the lemon like that was because I didn't want the see to drop inside the oil.
After that, I made use of a tablespoon to whisk the lemon and the oil together, and it turned into a thick substance. I didn't believe such two ingredients could bring out a thick substance like this.
The next thing I did was turn the veggies inside the mixture of lemon and oil.
After turning everything inside, I added a pinch of salt then I made use of two tablespoons to mix them so that the oil and lemon could influence the veggies.
Now that my homemade vegan salad is ready, who would have thought oil and lemon could actually serve as mayonnaise? Well, I guess I will use that often from now on because I love the outcome of this beautiful recipe.
I love this vegan salad because it tastes so good, fresh, and delicious as well. I never knew I would love it, and yeah, I love how it tastes.
