DIY/the making of handbag with jean

Crafting of handbag is what I have been thinking of but because I never get the perfect idea of the exact shape I wanted didn't let me make the bag all this while.

But today I finally get the perfect idea of the shape I wanted, though it was a little bit hard coupling it all together because I make use of needle and thread.

One thing I love about needle and thread is that I can sew anything once I have it with me. If you have been following my DIY content you would have seen that I love making use of needle and thread so much because it always makes my work perfect the way I want it.

Material used are

White thread and needle
Piece of carton
Used jean skirt
Scissors
Pen
Zip

Procedure

The jean skirt is no longer good to wear out anymore so instead of throwing it away I decided to make use of it to craft my beautiful handbag.
Let's get to the work and see the outcome of my handbag craft.

Step 1

I cut the piece of the carton into a square shape and I make it on two sides which are front and back sides. And I also cut a rectangle shape which is the one for the layer of the bag the under.

Step 2

I cut the jean into the size of the carton because I will be sewing it on the body of the carton, I cut the jean a little bit bigger than the carton because I don't want it to be too tight.

Step 3

I started sewing the jean on the carton but on the dull-face side, and after when it was sewed I turned it back to the other side.

I make use of a pen to draw out a triangle shape on the remaining jean with the edge of the bag then sew it on each side, that one doesn't need a carton in it so I sew just the jean.

Then I started coupling it all together when I sewed all the necessary places.

Step 4

I cut out the hand of the skirt to make use of it as the handle of the bag, and I also make use of the metal that was holding the hand on the skirt to hold the hand on the bag.

I cut out piece of the jean then make use of it to cover up the thread showing on the hand of th bag.

Then the skirt zip on the bag to close its mouth like every other.

Now my handbag is ready to rock the town whenever am going out.
