A tool that changed lives

Phones are part of an invention that changed the world entirely because with a phone you can reach out to your friends, family, and, of course, anyone without leaving your comfort zone.

Let’s just say phones are now part of human lives, especially smartphones. Some people make use of this same phone to put food on their table because they sell their markets on phones, and that is why some of them can’t live without their phones for a second, not to mention a day.

Now let’s talk about me and my phone. Can I do without my phone, or how long can I do without my phone? Well, I am a busy person, and that doesn’t have anything to do with my phone.

I make hair, and that has nothing to do with the phone. Aside from calling my customers or them calling me, my work has nothing to do with the phone, and that is why I can do without my phone for very long hours without getting worried.

My work is time-consuming because I spend hours making one hair, and if I have many customers, it means I will be busy for the whole day, and I can’t access my phone when working since I wouldn’t want to make mistakes. Moreover, I work with my two hands, so there is no possible way I can handle the phone and still be working at the same time.

This is to answer the prompt questions that I can go for a day without touching my phone, and I can also go for days without operating my phone as well. The only thing that makes me access my phone every day is because of my online activity, and once I am done with it, I will focus on offline work, which means I might not touch my phone again until I am done for the day.

I don’t blame people who can’t do without their phone; we all have different reasons why we have a phone, and we all have different ways of using phones. I work on the phone as well, but I don’t spend too much time with it, and that is why I can do without it for hours.

I have a friend who can’t let her phone rest for a second, not because she is busy with work on it; in fact, she doesn’t work on her phone because she sells clothes, so aside from posting on her status for her customers to see her new arrival, she has nothing related to work to do on her phone, and yet she can’t go a second without pressing it.

When I asked her why, she said, “I can’t do without checking my Instagram page, and I am also building my TikTok account as well for my business.” Well, building an account for business is not a bad idea; it is a good reason for sticking to her phone anyway.

I am not good with social media stuff, so I have never thought of building any of my accounts for business because I barely post my work.
