A complex issue

Money, they say, is good, and it stops nonsense, so when someone has money, he or she is on top of the world, and people would definitely look up to such a person.

When I have money and the money can give me and my baby a better life, who am I not to take the opportunity? I thought everyone needs money to better their lives and, of course, their children's lives as well.

If only God could allow humans to modify their genes, everyone in this world wouldn’t have blemishes on them because once our parents had money, they would have perfected us from the belly before we were all born, and that would make the world too perfect, I guess.

God knows what He was doing for not giving humans opportunities to be able to modify their bodies because humans can overdo things sometimes, and God must have seen it before He created us from the beginning.

I saw a video of a man who wishes to be like a snake, so he gathered money for surgery. He started with scales on his body, and he split his tongue and then tattooed his eyeballs just to look like a snake. This is all in the name of fashion and trend; meanwhile, he can’t reverse what he has done to his cute body, so his videos surfaced online because he was already regretting his actions.

Imagine if God had given humans the chance to modify themselves. What would such a person do with his body knowing that he could do it and reverse it at the same time?

Well, I wouldn’t mind either if I could modify my genes before my baby is conceived or born, but looking at how people take advantage of surgery wrongly, I don’t think it’s a great idea to be able to modify genes before the baby is born.

Some parents will go to extremes to create a too-perfect baby, while some parents don’t have money to make that happen, and the rich ones will be mocking those who couldn’t afford to modify their babies.

So I think God did a good job not giving us the power to tamper with our genes. Imagine how people are reborn with surgery nowadays and how people go to extremes for fashion just to look good in people’s eyes.

I saw another video of a woman who got pregnant from weight gain; the baby was taken out of her when the pregnancy was five months old, and she started using supplements to keep the baby fat in her body. The question I asked was, what will happen to the five-month-old pregnant woman that was taken out of her? But nobody to answer the question, so humans can do too much sometimes.

I am sure God must have seen how extreme humans will be if they have the opportunity to modify their bodies, so He never gives humans power over life, and yet people still find their ways to modify their bodies with surgery since they don’t have power over genes or the unborn babies. It wouldn’t be a good thing if humans had power over genes.
