Selling My HBD To Power Up Hive

Hello Family 👋,

I decided to power up so as to reach my goal quickly.

At the beginning of this month (September), I had a goal to reach at least 100 Hive Power before the month ends. I didn't really blog about it but, I just kept it to my self, and was working towards achieving the goal.

So, today is already the 29th of September meaning, the last day of September is actually tomorrow the 30th of September. Today, I had just about 53 Hive Power in my account. Looking at the amount of the Hive Power I had left me with no choice but to sell my HBD(Hive Backed Dollar), Buy some Hive, and power up the Hive.

So I had about 4.5HBD in my account, and converting it would give me at approximately 21.3 Liquid Hive as seen in the above screenshot. So I calculated how much my total HP would be if I take the deal, and I saw that it would give me approximately 74.8 HP. So I took the deal

After converting the HBD, I went on to power up(stake) my hive

After powering up, I then went to my HP tab to see how much HP I now have. It was 74.8 as calculated

Unfortunately, I didn't reach my goal which was 100HP but, at least I got a little bit close.

I do believe in miracles, but I don't know how possible it is for me to reach 100HP in a day and some few hours 😑. Unless a good Samaritan will just pop up from no where and send me some Hive 🤗 lol 😆

Well, I'm thankful for everything and also for the amazing #ecency app for the work they are doing. Every transaction I did was here on the ecency app, and everything went so smoothly.
To any of my friends reading this post and have no idea about ecency;

In my own understanding, ecency is an extension of Hive, or rather DAPP of hive that rewards you not just for posting, but it also rewards you for reblogging, upvoting, and commenting with ecency points.

Yes, it is best to convert your HBD to HP when the price of HIVE is low.

NICE things start happening to your account as your HP increases. The minimum payout is 0.001 HP. Since half of the reward goes to the author and half to the curator, your vote value needs to be 0.002 HP to start receiving your rewards.

As your HP grows, people will start receiving an appreciable reward from interacting with your account.

Yeah that is very true.

That is why I'm trying very hard to get my HP as high as possible.
