Iindecisiveness Birth Unproductivity
Hello everyone,
It's a bright and beautiful day, filled positive mindset and a stunning smile.
Making decisions is always crucial, because the outcome of our decision is our responsibility to bear and it is through that we determine the level of our maturity yielding to a productive lifestyle. While others find it very difficult to make decisions and they tend to accept whatever they see because they believe that it's always a dangerous task which the outcome could not be known, but that shouldn't be the solution for it. Indecision can actually be very dangerous and frustrating to others and to the individual because it seep into every part of our lives and paralyze us from moving forward. It can stem as a result of lack of trust.
Indecision often leads to increased stress and anxiety. This can be due to the fear of making the wrong choice, pressure of accumulating unmade decisions, procrastination, depression, self-doubt and general negativity. People who do not see the world as a battle field tend to experience negative emotions in a wide range of situations, including decision making and one way they can cope with that is by avoiding or delaying making decisions altogether.
People with an indecisive mindset try to avoid responsibility and blame.
The fear of making the wrong choice also weighs heavy on indecisive people. Interestingly, when indecisive people are forced to make a decision they tend to look at a much more limited amount of information so they follow anything that comes to their mind.
The possible solutions for indecisiveness are not far fetched, one must first admit the common struggles and possible ways to overcome them which is through determination, practice, self reflection and the ability to develop decision making skills. Some of the important ways out are:
a) Setting clear priorities and goals: To overcome indecisive mindset, we must first admit it as a weakness and seek out possible solutions. That is through setting our priorities right, and putting down achievable goals and start working towards achieving it.
b) Breaking down difficult decisions into smaller and manageable parts: After setting these priorities and goals, we get to break down the difficult decisions into smaller and manageable parts by following it bit by bit. We wouldn't be scared of failure, because failure is what can help you in doing better and you get to learn from that as well.
c) Practicing self trust: Self trust is as important as the air we are breathing, lack of self trust results in low self esteem. Failure to have self trust becomes another person because we won't be able to trust others. Practicing self trust builds self confidence even when things don't fall in place as planned, with the self trust you can stand again to try again until the outcome is as desired.
d) Learning from past decisions and experience which is through self reflection: It is believed that we learn from our mistakes, not only our mistakes but from others as well. Reflecting on our past errors does not mean we are dwelling on our past, but when we reflect we tend to get what we couldn't do correctly, work towards correcting them and becoming a better person.
Indecisiveness will not take us anywhere, it only harms us by limiting our success, bringing about low self esteem and other undesirable experiences. But we can overcome when we are so determined.
