En abril del 2026 estrenará el anime de Akane Banashi. Por tal razón, he decidido hacer una reseña del manga, que ya va por los 200 capítulos. Se comenzó a publicar desde el 2022, siendo creado por Yuki Suenaga e ilustrado por Takamasa Moue.

Sinopsis: Akane ha admirado el arte de su padre, desde su niñez, quien se dedica al rakugo, una especie de monólogo teatral enfocado en contar historias caracterizando los diálogos; sin embargo, su padre acaba siendo expulsado de su profesión tras un examen, sin razones. Esto hará que Akane busque venganza siguiendo el mismo camino de su padre, volviéndose una grandiosa profesional del rakugo.

Synopsis: Since childhood, Akane has admired the art of her father, who is a rakugo performer, a type of theatrical monologue focused on storytelling through dialogue. However, her father ends up being expelled from his profession after an exam, without reason. This leads Akane to seek revenge by following in her father's footsteps, becoming a great rakugo professional herself.

Lo interesante y llamativo de este título es sin duda que abre el mundo del rakugo a los que no tenían ni idea de este arte; si bien hay un drama de parte de la protagonista que quiere buscar los motivos por lo que su padre fue expulsado, escalando en esa profesión, ello solo sirve de excusa para mostrar los diversos aspectos del rakugo.

The interesting and striking thing about this title is undoubtedly that it opens up the world of rakugo to those who had no idea about this art form. Although there is drama on the part of the protagonist, who wants to find out why her father was expelled, climbing the ladder in this profession, this only serves as an excuse to show the various aspects of rakugo.

Tomando el rakugo como base, veremos varias actuaciones de rakugo, con diversas historias antiguas; y que estas mismas pueden tener varias caracterizaciones o impacto según el rakugoka. Veremos las fases para avanzar en la profesión, la importancia de los mentores y cómo se adquieren las historias.

Por la parte de la trama, veremos a Akane como una gran aprendiz, que irá participando en concurso, adquiriendo habilidades y relacionando con competidores. Hay personajes interesantes entre ellos, mostrando resultados distintos en las presentaciones, según sus habilidades. Hay mucha comedia y drama, pero sobre todo mucho rakugo.

In terms of the plot, we see Akane as a great apprentice who participates in competitions, acquiring skills and interacting with competitors. There are interesting characters among them, showing different results in their performances, depending on their abilities. There is a lot of comedy and drama, but above all, a lot of rakugo.

El arte es excelente, es uno de los mejores mangas en este aspecto que tiene la editorial Shueisha en la actualidad. Lo único que me preocupa, es que tras casi 200 capítulos, alarguen demasiado la historia.
Sin duda el anime hará un mejor trabajo en adaptar el rakugo, gracias al sonido, ya que las actuaciones deben ganar mucho con ello. Espero con ciertas expectativas el resultado.

The art is excellent; it is one of the best manga in this regard that Shueisha currently has. My only concern is that after almost 200 chapters, they will drag the story out too long. The anime will undoubtedly do a better job of adapting rakugo, thanks to the sound, as the performances should benefit greatly from it. I await the result with certain expectations.
