Se le dice obra póstuma a lo que se publica luego de la muerte del autor. En este caso, tenemos un relato corto, que se publicó casi 70 años después del fallecimiento de su autora, en el 2007.

Sinopsis: Silvio, ya en la vejez, y su familia cercana viven en una villa, en una provincia francesa. Trata de vivir una vida tranquila y contemplativa, lejos de su juventud aventurera; sin embargo, se encuentra con un caso peculiar, una muerte misteriosa. Eso hará desempolvar los viejos secretos de conocidos y pobladores locales, incluido los suyos.

Synopsis: Silvio, now in his old age, and his close family live in a village in a French province. He tries to live a quiet and contemplative life, far from his adventurous youth; however, he encounters a peculiar case, a mysterious death. This will bring to light old secrets of acquaintances and local residents, including his own.

El título “Ardor en la sangre” se refiere a la juventud, cuando en cierto rango de edad, tenemos cierto ardor e ímpetu, que nos hará tomar acciones emocionales, directas y sin pensar en las consecuencias. Y es que varias situaciones presentadas en la historia, tienen un origen en el pasado, en esa juventud ansiosa, que tomó ciertas decisiones.

The title “Ardor in the Blood” refers to youth, when at a certain age, we have a certain ardor and impetus that causes us to take emotional, direct actions without thinking about the consequences. A lo mencionado, se le agrega el contexto, la vida provinciana en Francia, en donde se rigen ciertas tradiciones y prejuicios, y muchos secretos pasan a guardarse en aras de mantener una cara aceptable para la sociedad local.
