Este libro es especial, pues creo que es el primer libro que leo que entre sus títulos está el de ser un diario de paternidad, así que con ello ya tenemos una primera idea de qué va el mismo. Publicado en el 2019.
This book is special because I believe it is the first book I have read that describes itself as a fatherhood diary, so that gives us an initial idea of what it is about. Published in 2019.
Sinopsis: El autor mediante este libro nos cuenta el proceso que tuvo que pasar al enterarse que iba a ser padre. Se nos cuenta los antecedentes, el tiempo de espera, el nacimiento, y unos años después del nacimiento. El trayecto por el que irá el autor no será recto, sino lleno de dudas, contradicciones y ciertas alegrías.
Synopsis: In this book, the author recounts the process he went through when he found out he was going to be a father. He tells us about the background, the waiting period, the birth, and a few years after the birth. The author's journey will not be straightforward, but full of doubts, contradictions, and certain joys.

Al ser una especie de diario biográfico, conoceremos más a fondo los pensamientos del autor sobre el tema de ser papa, algo que planeaba nunca ser en vida. Si bien creía que después de enterarse los temas que le preocupaban se iban a acabar alineando, no es así, y mucho vaivenes sufrirá su vida.
As it is a kind of biographical diary, we will learn more about the author's thoughts on the subject of being a father, something he never planned to be in his life. Although he believed that after finding out, the issues that concerned him would fall into place, this is not the case, and his life will undergo many ups and downs.
Eso es importante, pues si bien uno espera unos acontecimientos obvios, es lo contrario, hay mucho desarrollo sombrío o agridulce. Y es que el escritor lleva varios pesares que le hacen difícil seguir lo habitual o lo que se espera de él.

Los eventos del diario ocurren entre Madrid y Lima, pues el autor se muda o viaja de manera seguida. Eso le da aparte de contexto, un cierto simbolismo y carga emocional, pues ambas ciudades le significan cosas distintas, y le afectarán en su devenir.
The events in the diary take place between Madrid and Lima, as the author moves or travels frequently. This gives it a certain symbolism and emotional charge, apart from the context, as both cities mean different things to him and will affect his future.
Por otro lado, los temas que devela como padre primerizo son interesantes, desde las diversas preocupaciones que comienza a tomar en cuenta, hasta una parte en donde trata de buscar ejemplo de anteriores escritores, que también fueron padres y como sobrellevaron ese hecho con su profesión, muy interesante.
On the other hand, the topics he reveals as a new father are interesting, from the various concerns he begins to take into account, to a part where he tries to find examples of previous writers who were also fathers and how they coped with that fact in their profession, which is very interesting.
