Si bien me gustan los cómics, no he podido leer tantos como quisiera, por suerte hace poco pude hacerme con 2 títulos interesantes, uno era la Civil War de Marvel y otra una colección completa de Batman: El largo Halloween. He decidido darle una pequeña reseña a esta historia de DC. Fue publicada por primera vez entre 1996 y 1997. Siendo creador y guionista Jeph Loeb, y el dibujante Tim Sale.

While I like comics, I haven't been able to read as many as I would like, luckily I was recently able to get my hands on 2 interesting titles, one was Marvel's Civil War and the other was a complete collection of Batman: The Long Halloween. I decided to give this DC story a little review. It was first published between 1996 and 1997. Being creator and scriptwriter Jeph Loeb, and cartoonist Tim Sale.

Sinopsis: En Gotham, 3 personas han decidido aliarse: Batman, el capitán Gordon y Harvey Dent; para acabar con la red criminal de la familia Falcone. A su vez, están ocurriendo asesinatos en días festivos, siendo el autor desconocido. Ambos eventos se irán mezclando, mientras las tensiones, muertes y drama aumentan.

Synopsis: In Gotham, 3 people have decided to team up: Batman, Captain Gordon and Harvey Dent; to put an end to the criminal network of the Falcone family. At the same time, murders are occurring on holidays, the perpetrator being unknown. Both events will blend together as tensions, deaths and drama escalate.

Esta colección incluye los 13 capítulos de la historia y un epílogo. En la historia aparte de los personajes mencionados, veremos a muchos de los clásicos enemigos de Batman, como pueden ser el Joker o Poison Ivy, e incluso posibles aliados como Catwoman.

This collection includes the 13 chapters of the story and an epilogue. In the story, apart from the aforementioned characters, we will see many of Batman's classic enemies, such as the Joker or Poison Ivy, and even possible allies like Catwoman.

Es una historia bastante detectivesca ya que es difícil vislumbrar quién es el personaje que se esconde tras el nombre de Festivo y como logra cometer sus asesinatos tan discretamente; a su vez, se ve las consecuencias en nuestros personajes principales, de enfrentarse tan directamente a la mafia. Que para quien sepa un poco de Harvey Dent, entenderá.

It is quite a detective story as it is difficult to glimpse who is the character behind the name of Festivo and how he manages to commit his murders so discreetly; in turn, we see the consequences in our main characters, to face so directly to the mafia. Which, for those who know a little about Harvey Dent, will understand.

Es también entretenido ver como cada capítulo está asociado a una festividad como, San Valentin, Dia de la madre, Dia de la independencia; no solo en nombre, sino también en los personajes y la historia que se cuenta en el capítulo.

It is also entertaining to see how each chapter is associated with a holiday such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Independence Day; not only in name, but also in the characters and the story told in the chapter.

El dibujo es bonito, con muchas tonalidades oscuras y escenarios sombríos. Me ha gustado mucho ver el mundo de Batman en comics de los 90 's. Esta colección incluye un epílogo para mostrar un poco de lo que sucede después de la historia principal. Dejando unas pequeñas sorpresas.

The drawing is nice, with lots of dark tones and gloomy scenery. I really enjoyed seeing the world of Batman in comics from the 90's. This collection includes an epilogue to show a bit of what happens after the main story. Leaving a few small surprises.

En definitiva es un buen cómic, y muestra por que es uno de los más recomendados de DC y especialmente de la historias del señor de la noche.

All in all it is a good comic, and shows why it is one of the most recommended DC and especially the stories of the lord of the night.
