Cleaning Activity Today 4/2/2025

Dear peeps:

It’s cold as hell out there, I’ll be the first to admit that, but as a student, I cannot stress this enough. DO NOT plug any type of space heater into an extension cord or a plug strip/surge protector.

The extension cord is not designed to carry the kind of electrical load that heaters require. It will melt outlets and cord ends after enough time; as well as damaging the wire inside the box and even up into the wall.

This can easily start an electrical fire that may not even be noticed, until it’s charred the inside of the wall and starts to spit flames up and out..

Never modify the cord on a space heater either, the cord is a certain length, that’s deemed safe by the manufacturer, for amount of sustained heat that would be produced.

If you can’t get the heater closer to you, safely move closer to it, but keep any flammable stuff as far away as possible…….stay safe my friends..
