France’s Far Right In Trouble

A left-wing coalition is on track for victory in France’s national election, exit poll projections suggest, in a major upset for far-right factions that were forecast to win.
The New Popular Front party is projected to win the most seats in parliament, but will fall short of an outright majority — which could lead to a hung parliament.
President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist alliance is set to finish second, with the far-right group finishing third.

In what alternate universe will France now not have a center-left coalition government? The two coöperated for the second round of voting. They both must have hoped for some version of this outcome.

Legendary Minneapolis music spot reopens with new record store

In the late seventies or early eighties at Oar Folk they had a bin of bootleg vinyl. In it, I once found a 12" of a halfway decently recorded live Brian Eno concert. Oddly, one side was at 33 RPM, and the other side at 45 RPM. Sadly it’s long gone, vanished in one of my many apartment moves at the time or stolen by one of my sketchy roommates.
