My Hive Meetup Experience With The Uyo Team
Last weekend marked another memorable chapter in my Hive journey as I attended our local meetup, gracefully hosted by madame Blessing. Walking in, I could immediately feel the positive energy that only comes when genuine yeam members gather in-person.
Madame Blessing had outdone herself with arrangements, creating a welcoming space where everyone felt comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences.
The Presentation
One of the most rewarding aspects of these meetups is putting real faces to usernames that have become so familiar over online interaction. We met up in person—shared stories, and inspiration around SpendHBD and Hive growth. Being in the same room with fellow Hivers created an energy that's not seen online making everyone feel welcome regardless of where they are on Hive.
Our Host elaborated in micro logging, commenting, voting, picking attention-grabbing titles, and crediting sources. The live interaction made these strategies feel real rather than theory. I picked some tips for structuring posts that I'm excited to implement moving forward.
What We learnt
Hive Ecosystem: The fundamentals of decentralized social media, i.e, posting, engagement, and growing sustainably. What struck me most was seeing newcomers grasp concepts that took me months to understand.
SpendHBD: Practical guides on earning and spending HBD at real vendors—turning blockchain into local impact. After the Meet up, most of us went shopping showing new ones how it's done literally.
Live Questions & Answers: Participants asked all the burning questions they had and Answers were provided to satisfy every and curiosity bring solutions to things like, why can't I claim my reward after shopping? More reason never to miss a Team Meet up.
Conclusion
Our Meetup was fun, friendly, and full of actionable ideas which are exactly the spirit Hive and SpendHBD thrive on. Being part of the team and seeing everything come together was incredibly rewarding. The positive feedback and genuine excitement from everyone made all the planning and preparation worth it.
I walked away with renewed motivation, and practical skills for my Hive journey. More importantly, I left with concrete ideas for how we can continue building our local Team and expanding #SpendHBD adoption.
This wasn't just another meetup—it was a catalyst for deeper engagement and meaningful action within our Hive ecosystem. See you on the next!
I'm glad I was there
Hive meetup is always vital to attend and I can't miss it for anything except something really really serious keeps me away.
That's the type of motivation that drives me and everyone
